The first thing that comes to the eye when you meet the Luna Twins is their paleness. Both have but a dim shade of pink in their skin, making them seem very sickly. Another distinctive characteristic is their white hair, some would think it's odd given their age. Mezzo's hair is light yellow tinted but still noticeably white. His eyes are olive green, which kind of stand out in the whiteness of his childish face. He is short for american standards, standing barely to the 5'6'' mark. At least his frame matches his size, being a bit too thin, which adds to his overall sick look.

Maybe because they stand out so much thanks to their overall whiteness, both twins prefer heavier clothing in dark colors, and will always be seen using some sort of jacket over anything they wear.

His bright persona isn't the only thing bright in him, since he actually shines in a dim light, constantly. This is also why the twins would always wear as much light absorbing clothes as possible.

Personality Description:
Mezzo's personality shines just as much as he himself. He's outgoing and overall cheery. He's the sort of person that lightens the room when he walks in both literally and not. Always happy to make new friends, and overall just too happy. He's the sort of fellow who won't ever leave someone in need if there's anything they need. Not one to start a battle, but surely one to finish it with the help of his powers. He's hard to make enemies with as he always sees the world thru pink tinted lenses, and will always wear a smile on his face despite how bad things might be.

That is also one of his troublesome treats. He trusts people all too easily and is easily tricked into everything. He's a bit too overconfident that his powers will get him out of trouble every time.

He shares a special connection with his sister and, as such, treasures her dearly. Some would say a bit too dearly. Heck, even their guardian says it's a bit over the top.

Powers:
The shield is comprised of three layers of similar thickness, that are separated by a little more than millimeters. Only the last layer is visible if the shield is somehow activated.

The outer-most layer is the sensing layer. It determines what types of energy/matter can reach the owner as well as its speed and harm potential. The next layer is the friction layer. Its shape is not that of a simple flat surface, but it has these ripples on its underside that cover the entire surface of the sphere. Its only purpose is to generate heat during friction with the third shield, during the use of a power yet to be developed. The last layer is the one that forms the light sphere around the user. This is the real shield. It takes the form of a bubble around its owner, colored in hues of white and yellow which turns brighter on the surfaces of contact with other objects/energies. Just like a bubble touching any surface, it will mold to the surface it’s touching.

It covers the owner and the air around them in a 9’ radius at max. It can be reduced in order to save some maintenance. The shield is nigh indestructible as long as its owner can sustain it. It’s rigid for the most time yet it can bend under the pressure of the foreign object/energy in order to avoid its fracturing. Proven to resist: blasts of several elemental attributes, raw energy blasts, blasts of chaos energy, impact from organic and inorganic matter, time/space residual energies, gravitational forces, sound, among others.

When active, the interior of the shield becomes isolated from the rest of the world. Nothing will get in or out of it, including gravity. This is a safety device to prevent damage to the user in case of a crash landing, for example. The shield is always present, which is what gives them their luminescence.

While most of their kind have the shield be triggered automatically, Mezzo needs to focus for his to manifest physically, meaning it won't be there for him every single time he actually needs it. It can also be triggered at random times in what his kind affectionately calls shield hiccups.

The shield can sustain one large scale attack, for example a TNT explosion in their immediate surroundings, or direct crashes of fast moving vehicles. It will likely leave him conscious but disoriented, vulnerable. While the shield could take on one more of said events immediately, it will drain him completely of energy and knock him out. Other than that it can take on quite a few regular punches, bullets, falling debris, etc. Once the shield is at its limit it will not vanish, but go back to its skin level mode, offering around the same protection as cloth would.

This is how they can live in a place without sustenance. The second layer of the shield can transform, via friction and refraction, most types of energies in the sort of energy their kind needs to survive. It's also used to 'charge' up the shield in order to perform Interdimentional Transportation. While outside the umbra, the charging needs to be done consciously.

Thanks to their shield, they can somewhat divert the forces of gravity and are able to rise their bodies up to 12 foot in the air with ease, even while holding some weight around that of a grown man. Their speed ain't that much greater than that of a person going on a bike. It can be sustained for around 12 hours.

Being part of a race that doesn't need air, but does need communication, they are able to communicate with each other and anyone inside their shields mentally. This functions even with overlapped shields.

Just as the name implies, it's the innate ability to move between worlds, planes and realities. Some of their kind can even move through time.

At the moment the power is still latent in them. Even if it can be activated, it would need an enormous amount of energy, which would take quite the long time to charge, otherwise it would probably cost them their lives.

Biography:
It was a bright and hot day in a world were what lights up the day is called a moon, and there were 3 of them in the sky. One of them was the noon slot while the other two were almost side by side at the 3 o'clock one. That meant lunch break was soon. It was then that he stopped in mid air, while carrying some crates inside his shield, and looked up to the sky. His heart suddenly felt with a feeling he hadn't had in the longest time. Both his olive eyes turned to the ground level where his sister was sitting. She had been aiding some cat eared girl with sewing some straw hats, but now she was staring back at him. They both knew what it meant. It hadn't been 5 years since they had last felt this, and it was their 2nd time ever.

Their first time feeling it was a fleeting memory. Just a lingering sensation from when they opened their eyes to this world with 3 bright moons and 3 dark moons. They had been greeted in a large hall with people wearing robes and crowns, as if they had been expecting them. They didn't understood much of what was going on, but understood their words despite not being from that place. They were welcomed as old friends of the cat eared people despite not having any recollection of them. Some even thanked them.

Despite the confusing start, they sooner than later got used to the life of the cat eared people. It was somewhat rustic and if anything the word medieval resounded in their heads more often than not. It was also a place were magic was common and used in everyday life. That wasn't the only oddity of this land. They welcomed strangers from every possible origin, thanks to a gate of sorts that allowed worlds to be connected. They could tell who was local and who wasn't by some sort of sense they seemed to share, but in some cases it was quite obvious as they didn't had cat ears... or were a completely different species. There were people that looked like trees, some that looked too similar to dogs and even some that weren't even humanoid at all. Just like they had treated the twins for some time, so did they treated the other strange looking people from other places.

It was thanks to this variety that Mezzo was able to become so social. He always enjoyed seeking out this new being and hearing them out. It didn't matter their origin, he could always understand them, sometimes he even acted out as a translator for them all. Demi possessed the same ability, but she made little use of it, instead focusing on their literacy if any and in their crafts. This gave way to the difference in their personas.

Given their relationships with those in the castle, they informed them of this sensation and soon were offered aid into getting to this new place they had to be. They didn't have quite the clear image of where to go, but they knew the moment they saw the world thru the portal, a large building with huge letters on the front, it was that. Someone explained them that was a school... and that their task there was probably to learn how to make better use of their unique skills.

It was sad letting go of a place that had welcome them so dearly, but they knew in time they would be able to come back to this place, on their own... so they followed their next step and walked into the unknown world.[/spoiler]
