Personality:
Matthew is your generic demon. He's a troublemaker, and finds enjoyment in doing so. Almost every sentence he lays out is said with a sarcastic tone, even when he's being sincere. That being said, he doesn't go out of his way to constantly annoy people. It's usually just when he's bored.
However, if something genuinely interests Matt, he will tone down his behavior a bit. His extroverted nature makes him extremely helpful when he wants to be, and he can be quite a pleasant person to be around at this time. Of course, it doesn't take much to revert him back to his usual self, especially if he gets bored.
Despite what one might think, Matt isn't a fan of large-scale social events. Instead, he prefers small, more isolated events with close friends and other people he might find cool. This is because he can be quite an irritable person at times, and doesn't like too many people around him being too loud.

- Ward of Evil: Matthew gives off an evil presence. He is empowered by all things considered evil, and weakened by all things considered divine or holy.
- Lightning Control
- Boost: Matt can utilize lightning to greatly increase his speed. To put it into perspective, he would be able to run around the perimeter of a football field in ten seconds. However, this speed comes with a few repercussions. After running for only a second, a dull ache will appear in his legs. After five seconds, the pain will gradually increase. After ten seconds, his legs will begin to buckle, and after fifteen seconds, it would feel as if swords were sticking through his legs. Running with Boost will also greatly increase is heart rate, and he would be at risk of suffering cardiac arrest.
- Direction and Redirection: Matt can generate lightning from any part of his body, but he can only shoot it from a direct point, like a spot on his palm or a few fingers. His lightning is wild and uncontrollable when it leaves his body, and this often causes him to miss his target. However, it will always go in the general direction that he points to. Matt can also redirect lightning from an outside force, absorbing it from any part on his body and shooting it out of one point. The lightning he creates fatigues him, while the lightning he gets from anywhere else charges him up. He can also experience cardiac arrest from doing this.
- Matt is immune to all lightning, whether it be from a holy being or not.
- Matt has amazing reflexes.
- Matt knows how to make great use of this environment.
- Matt has abnormally strong legs. Even without Boost, he can run much faster than the average human (or demon, in his case).
- Matt is a great liar, and his silver tongue can get him out of many situations.

Matt lived his entire life in the Underworld. Although this was also the case with most other demons, the boy had pretty much seen all there was to see in his city (demons weren't allowed to enter cities they didn't live in, although many broke that rule all the time). He was able to do this because of is speed. At the time, he could run with his Boost for as long as he could normally run, allowing him to explore much more.
Matt was eight at the time, so he was more curious than most. One day, he caught wind of a group of teens that were going to try to get out of the city. He asked to join them and they agreed with little persuasion needed.
Long story short, they were caught quickly.
When Matt woke up hours later, he found himself in a small, white room, with a boy standing on the other side of the room. The boy introduced himself as William and said that he was a demigod. Matt was immediately against even being in the same room as him, but realized that the boy didn't look anything like what he expected a demigod to look like. From what he heard so far, Will was nice enough, which was already better than the rumors. He decided to give the boy a chance.
The demigod revealed that he was sent there to try and change Matt to become a better demon. He didn't like the sound of that, but decided to roll with it for the time being. They simply talked for a while--a while being a few hours--and by the end of that session, they had become close, despite their many differences. However, during their sessions, Matt found that, as his punishment, he was given the limitations to his powers that were stated above.
