Being from pretty much the other side of the planet, Victors body clock made sure he was awake that night. With no chance of sleeping, he went up to the roof of his dorm building. It was cool, yet not too much to be uncomfortable in Pyjamas, which was all he had on. Not his best set, being covered in Kangaroos from his shoulders down, but thankfully no-one else seemed to be there.

The roof was instead home to several solar panels, though at the current time, appeared to be just angled mirrors, thanks to the lack of sun.He stared into one of these. He was short, thin, and wearing glasses. The only thing that was special about him, was the gray locks. Victor used to always have full gray hair, being born that way, but since school bullying, he began to dye it. He needed it dyed again soon, but then again, did he?

Victor thought about Starlight Academy. If it wasn't for them, he still would be hiding in a dark room from reality. Every person he met accepted it without question, and even as normal. These were people from all walks of life, even those he had previously not thought about, such as Robots and Angels, as well as Cat- and Moth- people.

Without Manta Carlos, he would have never gained the confidence to talk to other people. He would have never have met those people.

Amazing School, Amazing People. It was almost everything he wished for. Now he knew where he belonged. He as never the freak, he was just the guy in the wrong place. He belonged.

Looking up, he saw the sky was filled with stars. In Melbourne, light pollution made it that no stars ever showed. But here they were beautiful. He had never seen this many in his life.

As he watched the starry sky, he saw a meteor fly across the sky. Now, Victor wasn't usually superstitious, but as magic was prevalent on the island, maybe this would be too.

He closed his eyes and thought hard to himself. It was the final thing on the list of things that he always wanted, something he has wanted his entire life.

"I wish for someone who loves me back."
