Private Finished Lily in the Sky

KirMir would want to know a lot more about what she had planned when it was time but for the moment that had been put to the back of their mind. It was time to lead her back out of the station and they were kind of glad. They knew they could use a little time away from the crowds and increased awareness of potential threats. And the emotionally charged discussion of how their bodies died of course.

They gently helped her to her feet and Kir drew Lily in close to him, with his arm around her waist after she bent down to pick up her chocolates. "Should we go to a theater back there or would you prefer to return to one of our homes to watch a movie?" Kir asked as they looked around to make sure they weren't forgetting anything else and then gave the command to turn off the projector in the room. Regular lighting resumed in the small chamber and the door slid open.

"We can store those for you if you would rather not hold them on the way back," Mir offered as she slid their partial water bottles into their pocket dimension for safe keeping. She would gladly slip the chocolates in too and free the girl's hand for holding. Or just walk along with Kir and Lily, putting a hand on Lily's shoulder. Either option was agreeable for KirMir as they led Lily out of the room and down the hall to the nearest transport pad again.

Mir smiled at Lily reassuringly, "We do not mind showing you our apartment. It is not exceptionally large but our couch is large and comfortable. We would be happy to have you return there with us." It honestly meant that KirMir would be able to relax even more while they were together. In their own apartment and with Lily would probably be the most comfortable they could get.

She gladly took Lily's offered hand after ensuring the box of chocolates was stowed along with the other stuff they didn't want to keep carrying. KirMir liked being in contact with Lily even though to someone else it might have seemed to be such a minor thing.

"If you decide you would rather go to your dorm or the lounge we can, but our apartment is available and there should be no issues with bringing you there to relax. Just us and you," Kir stated as together KirMir led Lily to the fairly close transport pad again. The travel was routine, just one moment they were one place and then the next moment they were elsewhere within the station.

However this time they did not return to the academic portion of the station. Instead they opted for the transportation hub for the public. It was bigger and far more crowded but returning that way meant not having to walk from the Academy back to their apartment in the city once they transported back to Earth. Instead they would use this hub to go to the one in the city, which was far closer to their apartment building. Plus they wouldn't need to stow their weapons because it wasn't school rounds.

Mir led the way, only about a half step ahead of Lily and Kir and still gladly holing Lily's hand. They stepped onto the now quite familiar shape of a transport pad and selected the main hub rather than one in the academy portion of the station.

"Then we will bring you to our apartment Lily," Kir decided as they were whisked into the much more crowded and busy hub. In addition to the transport pads for people there were large ones designed for transport of stable cargo and supplies. The noise level was similar to that of the market from earlier and KirMir pulled themselves in close to Lily on either side as they walked towards the next pad that would connect them with the ones on the surface.

"That does sound like it could be loud and distracting. We can assure you it will be just us and no drums at our apartment. We can order food to be delivered once we are there and more relaxed," Mir added as she rubbed her thumb across Lily's hand while they walked.

Here among all the bustle both Kir and Mir were looking carefully out at their surroundings. Instinct and ingrained training told them that aside from the market before, this was the next most likely point of a dangerous interaction. They were alert and watchful even as they snuggled close to Lily while walking.

At one point a person was walking quickly towards them for some reason with a large metal briefcase down at his side. He didn't seem overly threatening but he was coming towards them rapidly and glancing over at nearby security guards. There was a brief glow of blue light in Mir's eyes as her attention snapped towards him and she regarded his briefcase too. There was an unspoken communication and they held Lily back to pause all three walking and let him pass harmlessly in front of them.

Mir looked back at Lily and gave her a quiet shake of the head. It wasn't something they wanted to explain there amid the crowd of people coming and going. Instead Kir and Mir held Lily close as they resumed walking.

"Yes, the large pad in there will take us back to the city," Kir replied as they moved towards it. There was no destination selection this time as it was set to rapidly bring people back down to the surface. They stepped on with Lily between them and in an instant they were back on Earth.

As they led Lily away from the crowded portion of the hub on Earth they both seemed to visibly relax some. "We apologize if we worried you Lily. That man was suspicious and quite well armed from what we could tell," Mir began explaining as they slowly walked along the sidewalk. Still bunched together closely, though now it was more for comfort and warmth than because of crowds. The man had been a false alarm for them. The way his concealed weapons caught their attention and how he was headed right for them while watching security were all big red flags.

But they were safe and headed somewhere to relax and enjoy being with Lily, and that was the important thing.
