Name: Levi Tumbler
Age: 14
Birthday: August 23
Zodiac Sign: Virgo
Gender: Demimale
Pronouns: He/Him/His
Species: Human
Sexuality: Confused
Religion: N/A
Category: Student
Grade:

Appearance:
  • Surprisingly tall for his age. It’s rather noticeable.
  • Somewhat feminine in build, especially in abdominal area, and he has a more delicate frame
  • Still, signs of muscle are already showing
  • Pure black hair
  • Eyes are an odd shade of blue; they are very dark and very grey, but still with a slight blue tinge
  • Porcelain skin
  • It’s a small detail, but he keeps his nails quite well-groomed
  • Clothing varies extensively, but he often wears feminine accessories. Is thinking about getting his ears pierced, but hasn’t had the opportunity

Personality:
  • Very deadpan, usually, or expressionless
  • May seem like a blank slate, but is actually very inquisitive and thoughtful
  • Extremely observant and somewhat reserved, though not shy; he simply likes to watch a lot.
  • Accidentally witty; due to his general tone of voice and demeanor, he often comes across as having very blunt or deadpan humor.
  • Bluntness applies to more than just his humor and he sees no reason to sugarcoat when it isn't worth it, though he could potentially be crafty if necessary.
  • Desensitized to violence and life in general.
  • Very weak and flimsy morality, rarely feels guilty for his actions and, though he can understand emotions innately, he doesn't strive to comfort and assist (unless it’s on more of a whim)
  • Selfish to a fault, by default, because his mind runs on a constant self-interested thought process. Every decision he makes - so far, without exception - has some sort of directly-beneficial outcome for Levi, even if it is ambiguous to others.
  • Can't really feel true love, rage, hate, fear, or disgust
  • Almost impossible to convince Levi out of a conclusion he has arrived at himself
  • Hard time trusting anyone more than himself - in fact, it may be impossible for him to depend on anyone
  • High number of odd quirks (From specific socks on specific feet to having to twirl his pasta a certain number of times)
  • Can actually be very clingy - literally, physically clingy, as in hanging on your leg - while still maintaining an expressionless face.
  • Very awkward kid, completely unaware of social norms and the like
  • Often thinks aloud as he doesn’t see why he shouldn’t, kind of just says how he feels and why.
  • Gets frustrated due to his extreme social awkwardness, as it often creates tension and even distaste with those around him.
  • He would like to have mutual connections with people, but his disposition and power set make this hard - though the patience of the other also plays a large part.
  • Has begun to show some warning signs of psychopathy. In-character development will be the primary influence for this.

Powers:

Years of training and intense genetic modification have left Levi with perfect physical coordination, a hallmark trait of the superior human weapon. Basically, Levi is able to flawlessly execute anything physical just by imagining himself doing it. Of course, this is limited by the abilities of his human body. Levi is capable of reaching her maximum physical potential on command, but his limits are not above that of someone his size. For example, Levi can reach olympic-level speeds and his full strength at will, but this maximum is not equal to that of a 7ft body builder, nor a grown man, and does not transcend into the inhuman or supernatural levels. Levi may have trained to be at peak physical condition for his age, but he is limited by his height, weight and build.

Sub-Ability 1: Absolute Stamina
Due to her control over his body, Levi has virtually unlimited stamina and a nearly infinite pain tolerance. Despite feeling this pain and fatigue, Levi is able to overcome it indefinitely through sheer willpower.

However, this sub-ability has a significant setback. Levi is able to power through his body’s initial limits, but this does not mean he is without limits completely. Breaking past stamina and pain tolerances - staying awake when he should have passed out, getting up when he should be down, etc - can be extremely counterproductive. Levi is often subject to blood loss, muscle pulls and general severe injury due to his determination to continue fighting. It can even progress to the point of his joints caving in, his bones snapping and his muscles and ligaments ripping if left unchecked. Due to the nature of the power, Levi is usually in too much pain to even realize he is reaching these absolute limits, and must normally be stopped deliberately, whatever means that is accomplished by.

Simply put, Levi possesses an extreme photographic memory. He is able to remember everything and anything he experiences within a given period of consistent consciousness, which he does so constantly and subconsciously. To balance this, he also has a very heightened memory capacity. However, it is not unlimited.

Levi must sleep in order to function. Levi doesn’t really sleep as most would consider it. Technically, he doesn’t truly dream during sleep at all. Upon waking, Levi can recall vague images of information that wasn’t deleted, separated from solid memories by that vague sense of ‘dream’, images morphing, etc. It isn’t that fun human-type dream though. Levi can’t do that.

The function of Levi’s sleep is to filter through memories subconsciously and delete ones he doesn’t want to keep. It is mainly used for getting rid of details and whatnot that slow computation. The result is a memory that is still improved in comparison to normal humans, but not extremely so.

Levi’s maximum memory capacity gradually increases at a constant rate as he ages, allowing this power to work and create new memories. However, his time limit for consciousness remains the same. The longer he goes without sleeping, the slower his mind works. His maximum is exactly 48 hours, but by that point, he will be extremely sluggish, slow, and actually laggy. Memory lapses will be extremely common and long, and he will repeatedly freeze up for several minutes or longer.

Once his maximum is hit, Levi will literally crash - just like a computer that was overwhelmed by data input. He basically freeze in place, stuck and completely unconscious, even if his eyes are open. He can be moved by others, and he can retain a position he is put into, but Levi’s mind isn’t there after a crash. The closest thing he can be compared to mentally is a coma patient. This state lasts for an indefinite, possibly permanent, amount of time.

The more information he has to process at a given time, the harder it is to compute. It also shortens the amount of time he can last before sleep. Also, in general, Levi only has to sleep for about half as much time as ordinary people. He doesn’t feel sleepiness like regular people - only a gradual slowness. They are related, and Levi says he gets ‘tired’, but the sensations are different.

Levi’s computational powers are also higher than usual. He is very skilled in mathematics and the like due to this. It is a highly logic-based ability. Basically, it allows for near-instant processing of remembered information - not necessarily acceptance, if it is somehow emotionally troubling etc, but basic comprehension. Levi can still go into denial like a normal human, can refuse to think about certain information, etc. In fact, going into denial often has an even stronger effect on Levi, as it would require a harsh emotional turn. However, in terms of plain computational ability, Levi can - at his core - understand most information immediately upon receiving it. This mainly applies to how quickly he can analyze information and make decisions based on what he has found.

This power heavily governs Levi, even outside of his analytical abilities.. As he has not learned to control this power, it is able to modify his personality at all times. For example, compared to other people, Levi’s emotions are dulled considerably to make room for computational ability. He has a difficult time feeling anything very strongly, especially love, hate, true fear, and true disgust. As he is constantly analyzing information and choosing the best option, emotions rarely factor into Levi's decisions. He is left with an incredibly flimsy morality at the best of times, and may often end up hurting those he loves - or at least particularily likes - because the logical areas of this power make people seem like little more than stepping stones when it's time to make a decision.

Levi has little to no filter and generally does not act unless he is directly benefitted, even if the benefit is only clear to him. He is selfish by default, to a fault, even if it is more sutble than many who are greedy. He is also unable to trust completely, due to his ever-working mind, and it is almost impossible to convince Levi of an idea he has made himself believe. Levi is logic-oriented and almost constantly deadpan, because his emotions don't work enough to change his face. Further description is in his personality area. In-character development and power training can help lessen the effects, but he will never be completely normal. He will forever live with a veil over his emotions to make room for a simple quick wit.

History:
Levi Tumbler was born as a native of Manta Carlos, his mother a skilled engineer named Reina. She never spoke of the father of her son, and, not particularly curious, Levi never asked.

[Levi is unaware of this, but Reina was a seemingly failed experiment of an organization dedicated to creating the perfect human machine. Through genetic mutation, Reina was supposed to develope supreme intellectual and physical capabilities, but faulty modification changed the dynamics. She didn’t realize this until after she had been kicked out, confidentiality blocks in place, and had given birth to Levi. It was her son that obtained the powers.]

Once-beautiful and greying by the age of 25, Reina had been going through hard times as long as Levi could remember. The family of two had plenty of money, of course; a comfortable way of life was a given in Reina’s line of work, especially with only a few to support. However, the woman seemed to be eternally stressed by factors Levi was too young to understand, and then too old to consider different from anyone else. She stayed out long hours, brought strangers to her bed, and cried through long nights spent alone.

Reina used her son as a comfort, like a favorite teddy bear or pillow. It was with good intentions that she held him close to her at night, but what Reina did not realize is that she couldn’t use her child as a crutch lest she cripple him, too. It was from a very young age that Levi learned to sate his mother, instead of the other way around. It was Levi who held his mother through nightmares, who woke her in the mornings after so she wouldn’t be late for work, who made breakfast (rarely more than a few graham crackers until he was older) because his mother couldn’t pull herself from the sofa. It was Levi who learned to be independent because his mother was still a child.

Reina tried to love him. She tried to love her baby so much, but she wasn’t ready yet. She had never been ready for a baby. And so, despite her best efforts, despite the fact that she did truly love her baby boy, Reina failed. She couldn’t take care of herself, much less her child, and she failed.

It was with a heavy heart and an acceptance of her failure that Reina began to drink. She hadn’t meant to start - she tried her best to stay away. However, in the end, her efforts were once again for nothing. She drank herself happy. She drank herself productive. She drank herself carefree.

In the end of it all, Reina drank herself to death.

Levi found his mother in the morning on a Saturday, a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a picture of their family in another. He knew from the blue of her lips that there was no life left.

Strange and unsettling as it was, Levi never felt like crying. He did, of course. It was the normal thing to do, and Levi made himself cry rivers, but he never felt like he had to. He was sad, but he never really felt like he thought he was supposed to.

Though his entire life changed, very little was actually affected in Levi’s mentality. If anything, he grew even more independent, even more awkwardly self-sufficient and all-around okay. Perhaps he did become more unusual. Levi rarely acted in the way a child was supposed to act, aside from stubborn flashes and inexperience with the world. He his actions were logical to the point of being disturbing, and this perturbed Academy counsellors.

It was with a bit of questioning and orthodox testing that they discovered Levi’s powers. Upon their discovery, Levi was enrolled in special classes at the Academy, designed to help him control his abilities and keep his computational power from completely taking over his mind. Currently, Levi lives in Academy dorms without a roommate.
