Adelyn Moonlight
Storm Clarisse Haywood
Adelyn’s tail swished behind her as she eagerly waited for her friend Stefan to arrive. After he had mentioned that he didn’t really have anyone to celebrate the holidays with, she insisted he spend time with her and Storm on Christmas Eve.
Storm didn’t quite have the same energy as her companion. Storm was tired. She was…really tired. This was a difficult time of year for her. Too many reminders of Clarisse everywhere she looked. But she was trying her best to keep it locked up, because she wanted Adelyn to enjoy this time.
Her first Christmas. She could see how all the lights and decorations dazzled Adelyn. She was so excited, and Storm was not about to drag her down with her own problems.
So the two waited by the large Christmas tree in the park, which they had the opportunity to see lit a few weeks prior. There was a moment when Storm caught the lights of the tree glowing in Adelyn’s eyes that stuck with her since that night. She was such a beautiful girl, and a beautiful soul—no wonder she was making little guy friends left and right at the school.
She hoped this ‘Stefan’—the boy who had invited her to the Winter’s Holiday Party—was a good kid. Storm knew they had danced, and even shared an ‘accident kiss’, which…she thought only happened in movies…
She hoped it was indeed an accident, and not a boy trying to use Adelyn’s naivety again her.
Well, all she could do is wait with Adelyn and decided how she felt about this boy for herself after meeting him.
