Name: Larisa Versailles Semenov
Age: 21
Birthday: February 28
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Category: Student
Class: College
Grade: 3rd year
College Major: Forensic science
Appearance Description: Larisa is often defined by the pair of rust-red fox ears that sit atop her head, yet this is not her finest feature. Her eyes, when not hidden by her hair or paperwork, are a bright forest green that seem to pierce through to your soul while also being windows to her own and are framed with long lashes. Her hair, as soft and luxurious, is the same colour as the ears and a fluffy fox tail that flicks about behind her.
She has a general slender, hourglass figure and little visible muscle. She isn't out of shape or physically weak, however she is very far from being the strongest fighter out there. Her bones are stronger than the general average if only slightly, however her skin is easily cut or scraped and she tends to bleed more than usual when that happens.
On Larisa’s neck are a few pale scars, mostly in places they won't be seen but there are a few that she covers up with makeup. The most visible scars when not covered, are located just beneath and behind her ears.
Personality Description:
When she first arrived on the island, Versailles was solemn and silent, rarely speaking to anyone outside of class, even to her roommate. Since then, she has discarded her fear that she was accepted on the island only because she had nowhere else to go, though recently she has returned to the protective shell of silence.
Larisa is both headstrong and gullible, an odd mix that usually ends with her giving up when faced with a conflict she can’t escape. She is steadfast to her beliefs, yet has learned it is best to avoid entering conflict with them, becoming uncomfortable speaking her own opinions aloud. Loyal to a fault, she trusts even those she has been repeatedly told not to, and often ignores fatal flaws of her friends. From an outside perspective, Larisa can easily be described as demure, a perfect housewife, yet her family knows her much better than that.
Uncomfortable with large crowds, Larisa always keeps a simple means of escape with her, such as a book or a research paper. She hates being the center of attention, but rarely protests any sort of attention from close friends.
Active Abilities: Versailles possesses the rare psychic ability of Retrocognition, the ability to see into the past, similar to how a fortune teller might look into the future. The ability is not without limits, but often receives less interference than many of the other psychic abilities. When looking into the past, it’s not quite the same as watching a film or a clip of the future. The viewer actually enters the past, spiritually, and watches it happen as if they were truly there but cannot affect it. Strong mediums could use this to interact with the past as a poltergeist, however Versailles can only interact with moving objects that collide with her. Namely projectiles like bullets and thrown objects, that will travel through her, and cause the same amount of pain as actually getting hit without the injury.
When using this ability in an open, public area, Versailles has a lot of difficulty finding the time she actually wants as there are many times that call out, such as when someone had their first kiss or when someone was murdered, or an important conversation that affected the present. She can see as far back as 100 years, though usually not intentionally, or as far back as the room existed. The image is often reflected in her irises, but it is not a clear image.

Biography:
Versailles' birth parents are mostly unknown, her aunt and uncle who adopted her had a few photographs but not many. As a child she would sometimes try to see them in the past when the photos were taken, but they never visited her uncle's lab. She grew up surrounded by her uncle's strange experiments and attempts at mixing the talents of predators together. She grew up happily, helping her Uncle with his work by caring for the animals. As it progressed, his work began to evolve from creating creatures to help people to creating hunters to help murderers. Versailles didn't know it wasn't generally acceptable, she didn't even know her uncle was dealing with illegal experiments. When she was twelve, Versailles became the first human test subject. She was given a synthetic fox tail to begin with, which occurred with no problems. She learnt to use the tail for balance as if she'd always had it. The next step wasn't quite so easily done.
Three years later, a synthetic pair of matching fox ears were grafted to her head, although when they didn't seem to work properly, her uncle sliced through the nerves of her ear, disconnecting them so that he could attempt to reroute them to the synthetic ones. The experiment failed, and left Versailles permanently deaf. It wasn't til after this that Versailles found an ability to hear things she couldn't see. The country's government came soon after and shut down her uncle's lab, sending him to prison and leaving Versailles on her own.
It had been her aunt’s last wish that Versailles attend a very particular private school in the middle of the french countryside. The girl barely lasted a full year there under the constant scrutiny, before packing her things and fleeing. She was met on her way out of the city, by a pyromancer on his way to Rennes, and joined in his travels.
In Rennes, the two teenagers joined a criminal gang run by Abel’s uncle. They didn’t see much of any crime, being too young to be official members, but that didn’t stop Abel from dragging her out onto the streets with other gang member’s children. They dubbed themselves as 'The lost boys’ and vandalized public property, often getting themselves or others hurt in the process of escaping. In an attempt to keep this escapades from direct attention from Abel’s uncle, Versailles did her best to learn advanced first aid, lowering the number of doctor visits they needed. Gradually, as the boys got older, they were incorporated into 'official gang duties’, and Versailles was left with an awful lot of free time alone with and without Abel.
Much of her time was spent reading, studying whatever subjects she could find. After the homeschooling given to her by her aunt, and the ‘private schooling’ after they died, so much of it was still new to her. It was the gang’s private doctor she went to most often, learning anatomy and how different treatments affected the body. There was no doubt that the girl Abel had picked up from the middle of nowhere was just as suited to becoming a doctor as Abel was to one day take over his grandfather’s position.
With pyromancy, it didn’t take long for Starlight Academy to notice their little corner of the world. Abel refused to leave his family, but Versailles saw a chance to learn more in a place where she wouldn’t stick out so much. Versailles, with the blessing of her friend and his family, took Abel’s place at Starlight Academy.

While her first two years at Starlight Academy were greatly uneventful, she enjoyed the classes and her internship working in the Manta Carlos Police Department’s forensics lab. While at first she still felt out of place, Versailles gradually grew bolder, though after a series of mishaps and mistakes she returned to France with no intentions of finishing the school year. During this time away, she returned to the lab where she had grown up, accompanied by Abel and a newfound desire to learn more about what her parents had done. She discovered while investigating that she had become pregnant during her time on Manta Carlos. Knowing that she couldn’t raise supernatural children safely outside of that safe-haven island, Versailles returned to Manta Carlos, with Abel and his fiance joining her in the following months.
While the three of them prepared for the coming infants, Abel’s grandfather used his own connections to help Versailles find her birth parents. Unsuccessful, he instead uncovered the location of a sister lab that worked in conjoinment with that of her uncle’s. This one, based in South America’s humid heat as opposed to the frigid cold of Russia, opened their doors at the prospect of receiving all past data from their counterpart. Leaving her babies in the care of Abel, Versailles travelled south with her grandfather to the hidden lab. She had only expected steel walls and cages like that her old home had once used, but instead found what was more in kind to a petting zoo - as well as this new lab’s refined art of gene work.
Having more realistic goals, the second lab had done what the first had not - achieved a working neural path between two ears, though the additional pair were not required to transmit sounds. Larisa had been the test in the northern lab, but the southern had their own test subject - a young man by the name of James Alcides Terrade. Though her grandfather returned to France, Versailles remained with the lab to help their study of her uncle’s research, finding along the way a possible method to restore her natural hearing. For several months, Versailles stayed with the lab before returning to Manta Carlos, with most of her hearing restored - and without the clairaudience she had gained when she had first lost her hearing.
