An excerpt from the Book of Creation
The Creation of our home is commonly believed to have happened when the Gods, with their infinite power and wisdom, decided to make their greatest creation yet.
The gods of Life, Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind came together to create Silverlode, our home. Houth, the god of Life contributed to us our greatest ability, the right to live. Gretal, the god of Earth gave us the land we stand on. Leathin, the water we drink, and the seas we travel across. Kalthor, fires to bring warmth to us at night, and bring life anew. And Yojor, the weather and the air we breath.
After they created Silverlode, quarreling began among the deities over who should rule and much of their perfect creation was destroyed. While the Valimarian stood by to watch their lives be destroyed. After many centuries, the gods reached agreement that the right to rule was left up to the Valimarian’s and they could choose who they would follow.
Upon reaching that conclusion, a new fierce battle arose among the gods, only this time to create. Each deity made a shrines to proclaim their greatness, each trying create majesty to lesser the others creations. A shrine was built in each section of the land, as the Kingdoms as we know them today did not exist. Finally the gods had spent their powers creating temples to themselves, the last temples they built were more beautiful than anything imaginable. From the temples came the powers the gods bestowed on their followers, the ability to control the elements that they were…
