Backstory:
There is a children's home in England in which are a group of kids (age range being the typical 0-18). Through some turn of events, the kids are kidnapped by someone looking to make some money off rich foreigners with nothing better to spend their money on. Their theory is that if they have no real family ties, that's less people to be worrying about them disappearing. The kidnapper is actually a super dodgy 'scientist' who wants to ‘modify’ them to be sold as more exotic servants for said rich people. (e.g. my character has a unicorn horn implanted). Somehow, the kids break out (along with the homes' pet lizard, Queen Elizardbeth, who had baby dragon wings added). They get picked up by a scout and taken to Manta Carlos.
They have no magical powers initially as the children were only edited physically.
The Idea:
Anyone who wants to play one of these children can reply to the thread and create their own character! The only ‘rules’ are that this is a part of their backstory (anything before the home is completely up to you) and that their child must have been modified to look ‘exotic’. Take this as you will whether its through the addition of animal parts (either mythical or real), extra human parts, dyed body parts (blue skin, for example) or other particularly unusual modifications, the crazier the better!
Possible Plots:
Being children, they may be jealous of the other islanders having powers and a group may set out to get their own. Some may realise that their ‘modification’ has other effects in the long run (e.g. someone with a mythical body part added may realise some of those animals’ powers did actually transfer to them but didn’t show straight away. Dyes may be eventually fatal etc).
Of course, all the children will come to the island knowing each other so group threads would likely happen naturally, especially them arriving.
There are still some little parts of the backstory to be figured out, I imagine, but I was hoping if there was any interest, it could be developed further as a group! All ideas and suggestions are totally welcome!
