June Orwell

The first word people tend to associate with June is "pretty". Like, 'he's damn too pretty to be real'. It throws a few people off, but also lures others in, that is some people take it as an invitation, others as intimidation. He's quite an androgynous beauty, some people find it easy to confuse themselves. All is well, since he identifies with either. Hah.

June is nothing short of being considered attractive. The color of his golden eyes are calm but his gaze are sharp and calculating. It's so easy for him tocover it up with make-up to appear more sweet and dreamy-looking. His hair is naturally red and wavy but he maintains it straightened since his second year with its long length that goes down to his waist. He's actually pretty short for his age, standing at only about 5'6ft with a very slim build giving him that petite look. His fair skin and particular glow makes him eyecatching to many others.

June is the type wears whatever he thinks complements his appearance rather than insistently going with the trend. His usual attire is almost always something flowy and breathable. Often refered to Mori, he chooses colors that blend well with his red hair, going for neutrals, some dim greens up to some muted purples. He's very peculiar about his hair: sometimes he leaves it down or he puts part of it in a ponytail with a matching ribbon or just pulls it up in a full pony tail. He's not one for too much make-up; the most he uses are eye make-up and some color for the rest of his face on certain seasons.​

June gives off the impression of sweet and harmless when first approached. The sort of personality that seems to be easy to target. Surprise! That's not quite a smart idea.

He's rather mischievous; at times he can go past the harmless teasing and seem a little more mean than his usual. It seems like it's a past time for him to get a reaction out of people. He is quite selfish though, and a tad bit of an egomaniac. He loves being the center of attention and basks in the praises and complements thrown at him. No, scratch that, he craves for attention. On his down days, he comes off more aloof, passive, and seemingly exhausted which is a complete 360 of his usual but this is more or less a rare occurrence for the likes of him.

June isn't all words. He can actually be responsible and reliable even though most of the time he's more of an ass than an asset. He's a bit of a flirt, but he also has smarts to boast. He excels academically and has probably never received a mark lower than B+ or any of its equivalent. He sometimes spends his alone time studying in some secluded area where he is able to focus.

In terms of skills and talents, June is a promising package. He's an excellent dancer, fluid with his movements and almost hypnotic. That isn't to say he could do any genre though — his fluidity sometimes makes it hard to pull off a full hiphop. His voice isn't anything for broadway but you have to hand it how well he can hit his notes. Heightened senses and good memory makes him excellent at declamations and speeches as well as debates. Fashion isn't very foreign to him, and he has an excellent eye when it comes to mixing and matching whether its on himself or another person.

He doesn't seem to care about anything else that doesn't have to do anything with him or doesn't benefit him. True, June is a tough nut to crack, but there are times he could be more selfless and caring. If he would do that, he'd be more honest that even he would find it hard to keep a secret from the person. And when June worries over someone, he gets to the point it drains him out just by over-thinking and paranoia.

There isn't a lot of things that June likes that people know about himself, especially the things he keeps close to him. Although, it goes without saying that he loves the attention he gets. When he's down, he usually just sits somewhere where he could watch people but doesn't talk to anyone at all. He certainly loves seeing the energy from the people around him, which is the very reason he likes getting on people's nerves.​

June's ability for manipulation is a personal touch; an ability he honed by himself by the time he mastered his energy draining ability. By putting his target in a sleep-like trance, he is able to manipulate their thoughts in their trance and makes it easier for him to suggest ideas. His power works only when he has skin contact with his target. Compared to actual mind control, his control is notably weaker but it is strong enough to have permanent psychological effects if he wills it. His control can be nullified by other types of hypnosis, a counter hypnosis, or if the person's mental strength is above his level. There are some people whose wavelengths makes them impervious to hypnosis so they are beyond his ability.

His weakness involves binaural sounds which makes him lightheaded or alters his heartbeat to abnormal rates. He is highly sensitive to high frequencies which also breaks his concentration. Extended exposure can have dire consequences.​

While mostly identifying as a vampire, his species is the type that feeds on energy instead of blood. Psionic Vampires like June aren't as sturdy as blood-sucking vampires — his heritage tends to be more fragile in terms of physical strength but they make up for their immense mental and spiritual capacity. Though they may have some similarities, Psionic Vampires also have different sets of abilities and weaknesses compared to them. They share heightened senses of the generic vampires as well as their healing capabilities, but they are not physically strong. Instead, most Psionics have the gift of psychokinesis. (An ability June has yet to gain.)

They seem no different to humans and they don't burn under the sun but they do get exhausted quicker and are more prone to heat exhaustion. They are also more sensitive to sounds. June's main weakness involves binaural sounds which makes him lightheaded or alters his heartbeat to abnormal rates. He is highly sensitive to high frequencies which also breaks his concentration. a) Energy Drain : June is the type of vampire that feeds on energy. His draining ability is for the most part an active ability. If his mind focuses on one individual, his ability would automatically lock on to that person. The quickest way for him to feed on energy is through contact and more effective if he does it like those of blood-suckers, though he does not necessarily bite his victims. His target isn't really able to feel being drained until after--that is, unless they are already aware of this ability. By keeping more than one person to pay attention to and drain from, June only drains a fraction from each person so that his targets don't really feel as exhausted.

b) Recovery and Healing : For as long as June has enough reserves of energy (or a power source he can drain), June has the capacity to continuously heal himself to full recovery from most injuries. While minor injuries are easier to heal, some major injuries may require him to drain life force. For him to recover from major to fatal injuries, he needs more energy to use up, therefore requiring him to use an outside source. Depending on severity he can drain someone to the point of death. Of course, he wouldn't really do that considering his upbringing.

c) Conditional Immortality : In connection to his healing ability, he can live past the normal human lifetime by continued feeding on energy. His aging would have slowed by the time he reached his 20s, but he still can die by natural means if he stops feeding off others — though stopping him from feeding off energy basically means cutting him off an important food source for his species which will lead to death. There is no known maximum age for a Psionic Vampires but some are known to live over 2000 if they tried. This does not however make him completely invulnerable. They can't die of starvation for normal food but cutting off their major food supply (life energy) can kill him, so would instantaneous death — whether by magic or physical means — since this gives him no opportunity to steal energy to recover from the injury or damage inflicted.​

June grew up adopted by a normal non-magical family. Unaware of his true origins, he went on his life as a regular human. As a child, he had always ate too little, slept too often or otherwise he would always be exhausted. His parents thought he was just sickly and kept a close eye on his health. Due to apparent health conditions, he frequently missed classes and oftentimes, resulted to him getting left out for most activities. He kept a close circle of friends, mostly of mutuals since his shyness kept him from actively making more friends.

His circle of friends eventually shrunk in size; interactions grew shorter as time went on, with some very few actually actively avoid him. This went on for a while, making him anxious when around company. Was he a terrible friend, he used ask himself. He hated it, honestly. He did what he could to be likeable to people — he shook off being shy and conditioned himself to get out of his shell. He pushed himself to do well in school, he joined clubs, joined events and even ran for student council a few times. Literally everything. It was a confusing high school life of being the popular kid that everyone seems to love and yet he had that nagging feeling that everyone hated him just as much.

It wasn't until he was about 16 when he finally got the memo. It wasn't so much as a shocking discovery but more of a slow realization coupled with hideous amounts of deduction and testing that he found out he was literally draining the life out of people like some sort of energy vampire. Obviously, it wasn't something easy to figure out if you thought you were a normal human. But it was difficult to absorb because he'd sat along the thought that people disliked his company because he had a rotten personality.

By the time he was in high school, his health greatly improved — or at least that's how his parents saw it. When he saw his parents happy with the news, he became guilty and it got worse as time passed. Admitting it to his parents took a lot out of him, but it was probably better than keeping it to himself. He was surprised that he got a neutral response from them instead of anything well... explosive or other.

After he graduated high school, his parents brought up about sending him to Starlight Academy for college to see how much he could learn about himself since this was certainly a field no two regular human doctors could help in. He promised he'd do his best; hopefully he'd be able to keep that promise.​
