The school bell rang as Lexi ran from the elementary school building to the College building to see her father. Her outfit fluttered in the wind as she was big smile on her face thinking of going to get Ice Cream after school with Octain for once in a long time. She was looking forward to this all day. She was a good girl and got the teachers to even write her notes that she was good so Octain would know that he was Daddy's good little girl who would make him proud.

She ran up the stairs almost wanting to scream for her dad when she got to the classroom. It was a little farther than she thought it was when she saw the door with Octain's name on it with a bright smile on her face. She opened the door and rushed in. tripping on what seemed to be nothing as she landed on the ground with a thud.

"owie..." She said as she sat up with a slight sniff as she looked around the room. The room was empty and even Octain's office was closed. She sniffed a bit as she slowly knocked on the door to his office.

Little did she know. Octain had been roped into going to a ceremony in his honor. Some else trying to finish some of his current researched in his stead..

Another typical work day. While she was still fairly new to the Academy, it was safe to say that she wass beginning to fit in comfortably. From what she had seen, this hidden island had provided her more enlightenment about those like her than she had seen in her travels. After all, this was the hiding place for those who didn’t quite fit in. Like her. For those presumed extinct or merely a figment of the imagination. All of it so true. And all of it beautiful…

Safe to say, she loved her job. She was no teacher, but she didn’t mind the one she was the assistant for. And that was putting it lightly. Her careful and precise penmanship made its mark on several files of paperwork, while her other hand flipped through the pages of some ancient text. Researching and grading papers… She couldn’t think of a better way to spend the afternoon.

Her emerald hair blew softly in the wind, the markings on her face accentuating the look of mellow excitement in her yellow-green eyes. For those who observed her carefully, it was rather apparent that her appearance changed naturally and fast. But that was just her. An elf marked by the change of the zodiac. The mark of leo was etched into her back, evident through the thin fabric that draped across it. Her fingers found themselves almost stained with the red ink from the students who made one too many careless errors on their test.

”Just because you circled two answers does not mean I have to pick the right one for you….”

A sigh came from her lips, as she tucked some loose hair behind her long and pointed ear. Didn’t these children listen? Oh well. Just because they didn’t take their studies seriously doesn’t mean the subject matter isn’t interesting. And it was. Her eyes went back to the book about magic and its appliance to science. Though science wasn’t her cup of tea she found it compelling. Just like magic, science was a beautiful combination of knowledge and precision. And just like that, it could be abused to make something horrible if placed in the wrong hands…

Her train of thought came to an abrupt halt as she heard the doors slam open. The sound of excited laughter ringing in her ears, giving poor Genesis quite a fright. Her brow raised as she watched a girl with what appeared to be.. Cat ears? What was this?

”Greetings child… Are you lost?” She touched the tip of her quill to her lips in contemplation and confusion. ”Class has ended quite awhile ago… I recommend that you return back to your dormitory, before it gets too dark to navigate the hallways.”

Lexi tried her best to clean up. Expecting Octain to show up to help her up. Though after a moment she realized. He wasn't here as he heard someone else talk. It was a female voice? Octain wasn't... dating anyone. Was he sharing an office? Was that it? He was now sharing his rooms with someone else? Lots of issues went into her mind that she was being replaced by someone older. Though her doubts were slowly taken away as she pulled out her little stuffed bunny Octain gave her as she hugged it tight.

As Lexi saw someone else show up, she tried to look behind her to see if Octain was in. She sighed as she looked up at the elf. She realized it was an elf by the pointy ears and what Octain said about his assistant, though Lexi was interested in the one who was working with him but wanted to know more about if Octain was in ingeneral.

"I'm.. Looking for Magistar Octain.. I came to ask him about something.." She said as she looked around the room. "Is he.. Not teaching here anymore? This is his class... Right?" She said. Hoping her dad didn't get fired or leave her like a lot of other people did.

She looked around the class and went to the window to admire the view. Standing on her tippy toes she looked outside the window with a smile as she saw outside. Enjoying the site and listening to what ever the new person had to say about her father.
