Appearance Description
Hue stands at eight foot three with a slim but muscular build. Many may mistake her for someone in their mid twenties, though she is actually nearing half a century.
Her skin glows from within. Her hair is a rainbow of colors that dance around her head and cascade down her back. She always has some kind of plant either woven into her hair or placed atop her head.
Protruding from her back are branch-like structures embedded with crystals. There will often be butterflies taking up residence here.
She usually wears a white dress that reveals her shoulders and back. The rest of the dress falls to the ground, flowing around her like a waterfall. She never wears shoes.
Personality Description:
Hue tends towards the shy side in her personal life but is bubbly and sociable at work. Leaders, and by extension teachers, are regarded as the highest Calling by Light Fae. Hue approaches her work with a great deal of diligence. The same diligence is present in her personal life; she is very selective about the activities she takes part in and the people she spends time with. She is forward thinking and has no problem putting off momentary gratification for long term success.
Hue is not easily put off however, she finds it difficult to understand those who do not communicate truthfully and sarcasm goes right over her head. Different beliefs are fine if you can support them. In fact, Hue loves a good debate, so long as both parties remain open in their discussion. Blatant lies and fallacies can put Hue over the edge.
Hue is vegan and loves to spend time in nature. While she cannot speak to animals, she likes to think she has a special way with them. One of her favorite pass times is writing. She writes poetry, music, sort stories and essays.
Powers: Species Abilities
Light Fae do not possess individual abilities like other species do. Instead, they have different strengths according to their Light Source.
Light Source: Light Fae possess the ability to add light to the world. The branch-like protrusions on their back, which connects to their heart, is called their Source and is where their Light originates. They are always giving off some of their Light, unless purposefully holding it in. Anyone within a few feet of a Light Fae will feel an increase in temperature of about ten degrees. If a Light Fae completely release their light, the temperature around them can increase up to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature is highest within ten feet of them and decreases in temperature over the next twenty yards. Looking directly at them like this can result in eye damage. Their Light can nourish plant life and supplement vitamin D received from sunlight. A Light Fae's Light can be clarifying, purifying, or sanctifying.
Light Illusions: Light Fae can manipulate rays of light within thirty feet of themselves, including light they produce, to play tricks on the eye. Raw ability at birth can allow them to make small objects disappear or a small object appear for a few moments. Training increases the size and duration of the illusion. Hue is able to create illusions the size of an elephant lasting a few minutes.
Longevity: Light Fae can live anywhere from five hundred to a thousand years. How long they live is dependent on how they give off their Light. Both keeping it in for too long and letting too much out at once results in a shorter life span. Their biology requires food about once a day but they can survive without it for over a month. Water is required frequently and a few days without it can mean death. Light Fae can be killed by decapitation and destruction or removal of their Source. Flesh wounds will heal within a day. Anything deeper can take up to a week. However, if their Source is damaged, its physical healing is completely dependent on their emotional healing.
Temperature Insensibility: Light Fae are not affected by environmental temperatures. Zero degrees kelvin and a thousand degrees Fahrenheit feel the same to them.
Super Sized: Being the physical size that they are, Light Fae are strong. Their strength is proportional to that of a human will a similar muscular build, just multiplied two fold due to their height.
Biography:
Along the Rocky Mountain range reside six clans of Light Fae known as the Colors. They descend from angels and while they remain devout to God, the Creator of the Universe, they have no religious ties. Instead, their purpose is to bring light to everyone of the world, no matter their beliefs.
Hue is from the Blue Clan. She spent her first twenty-two years living in a small community comprised of blood relatives; parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. This time was spent learning her family's history and how to control her Light Source.
The day before her twenty-second birthday, Hue left home. She spent almost a decade living and working in various communities and clans. It was during this time that Hue discovered her Calling; teaching. She returned home for a year before deciding to enter the Institution. She spent the next twelve years studying all she felt necessary to fulfill her Calling. At the age of 44 she found work at Starlight Academy as an Elementary School teacher. She returned home briefly before heading leaving for Manta Carlos Island.

If someone is dealing a mental illness they may find momentary relief from their symptoms. This has no permanent affects and is only felt within the reach of Hue's Light.
