Victoria made her way, or, to be more specific, skipped to the stables. She did this often, usually making time to go there and spend time with the horses. Not that she had any of her own- they were too expensive to buy and take care of- but they were still one of her favourite animals.

Victoria soon entered the stables, and the horses neighed in friendly greeting. "Hi everyone!"[/B| she greeted them back cheerfully. She then went to the first stall and reached inside her satchel, taking out the pack of sugarcubes she brought. She took one out, laid it flat on her small palm and held it under Thunder's muzzle. "Here you go," she said to the great big horse. Thunder ate it unhesitantly, trusting Victoria completely. Victoria then peered into Thunder's stall to check if his bedding was still clean, and if he needed more feed or water.

Once Victoria was done with Thunder's stall, she moved on to the next, giving the next horse his sugarcube and checking his stall. Then she proceeded to the next, and the next, a happy smile on her face.

Jacques startled, jumping slightly off the hay he was sitting on, when he heard someone else enter the stables. Mentally scolding himself, he realized that horses were popular animals and he shouldn't be surprised that someone else had decided to come visit them.

Tucking his notebook (which, really, was filled with far more doodles and drawings than notes of any kind) back into a navy messenger-bag, he nervously bit his pen as he pondered upon what he could possibly do. As it was, he was sitting in the far corner of one of the horse-boxes, having been determined to do some love drawing of something else than people (not that he was any good at anything else but people, but he did hope that practice and time would change that).

As he sat there, he realized - to his horror - that the person was moving from box to box. And while he, panicked, tried to think of a way out which wouldn't be all too awkward, he didn't realize that the person - she - was moving onto "his" box.

Staring straight into the eyes of an incredibly cute girl, his shock immediately made him start adapting her features. Shrinking his height, his hair and his hair color, as well as quickly adapting his facial features to become more delicate.

"H-h-h-hi!" He managed, eyes stuck in an angry mix if red and brown and blue, wide and a mixture of both scared and surprised.

Victoria's emerald eyes widened for a moment, as she didn't expect to find a person, a boy (?), there. But she recovered quickly, smiling at him as she said, "Hi!". She bit her lip and her brows furrowed, seeing the scared state the boy was in. "Sorry I startled you. I didn't expect anyone to be in a stall." She went back to smiling. "I guess different people have different places of comfort."

She studied the boy for a bit- his powers were truly interesting- then looked at the pack of sugarcubes in her hand. She took one out and held it out to him, saying, "Would you like one? I usually give them to the horses, but I occasionally eat them myself." As she talked, the cheerful smile she had lit up her face. She decided this boy was just like a horse- easy to spook. But she also hoped that with some gentleness, she can befriend him.

Letting out an inner sigh of relief when the girl didn't "freak out" or start yelling, Jacques's eyes settled into a calmer mix of emerald, jade and cobalt, his eyelashes also going cobalt. Listening to the girl, it was then his own eyes that looked surprised - though the expression quickly faded for another. "Y-yeah" he managed, barely above a whisper despite his own effort to keep his voice the same volume as earlier, smiling sheepishly.

"Y-yes, thank y-you!" He said, his smile spreading into a larger one. Reaching over to grab the piece of sugar, his fingertips brushing against the palm of her hand. Realizing, then, that he should probably offer the girl (who was she? He couldn't keep calling her "the girl!") something in return.

Pondering a quick moment, he then grabbed his bag and started rooting in it with his other hand in one quick motion, all while standing up (the sketch pad dropped on the ground in his hurry).

Letting out a triumphant breath as ge fount it, he reached his hand out towards her similar to how she had held out the sugar cube. "W-would you like a-a tangerine?" He asked, his smile still present for some reason.

I guess it's the girl, somehow?

"I-I'm Jacques, by the way. What's your name?" He asked, hoping he hasn't manage to do anything stupid to scare such a nice person away.

Victoria didn't expect anything in return from this rather timid boy, so her eyebrows raised as he held out a tangerine that he had very quickly dug out from his bag. Its skin was a bright orange colour, and it just looked delicious, in all honesty. Victoria didn't hesitate- she was always taught that it was more polite to accept gifts rather than refuse just for the sake of modesty.

"I would like a tangerine, thank you very much," she said to the boy lightly, taking the fruit from his hand. The smile on Victoria's face was still there- it wasn't forced, she was just a naturally happy person, so she tended to smile a lot. "How did you know that tangerines were one of my favourite fruits?" she asked him jokingly.

"Hi Jacques! My name's Victoria. But you can call me anything you'd like, since Victoria tends to be quite a mouthful," she told Jacques, her round green eyes glinting with the excitement of making a new friend.

Victoria then glanced down at the sketch book that he had dropped earlier when searching for the tangerine. She started to bend down to pick it up with her free hand.
