HOLOGRAPHIX ROLLER DISCO

Built in the 70’s and stuck in the 80’s, X Roller Disco has been the friday night hub for a generation of bored teens and young adults. Despite its outdated appearance, there is a certain charm to the neon soaked lights and busily patterned carpets. That is, if you can find it.

While the downtown area of Manta Carlos has built itself around the building, Holographix has remained strong despite dwindling attendance. It almost has a cult following at this point- the outcasts of the outcasts tend to hang around here while many others opt for more ‘modern’ forms of entertainment. Still, there is plenty for even the clumsiest of goers.

Right as you pay for your pass and rent your skates you find yourself at the entrance to an arcade. To get to the rink, you must pass through cabinets upon cabinets of old arcade games, even bearing some modern ones. From Asteroids to Q*bert, Holographix has it all.

((Test your luck at skeeball- beat the manager’s high score and win a fabulous prize!))

Hungry after a night of skating and gaming? The concessions stand runs from open to close, so if the midnight munchies come up, the pizza here is surprisingly edible.

So if you’re here for a date night, a dance night, or even a chance to turn back the clock, Holographix will always remain open as both a landmark and a roller skater’s dream.
Starlight Academy will soon have its very own roller derby team who will meet twice a week at Holographix. Be there or be square!
