Helia is of a very average figure, and has an oval shaped face. Her sky blue eyes are so round they seem to pop out of her face in comparison to her little nose and mouth. Her blonde hair is kept in a hime cut up in two buns. She has two bunny ears that hang down below her hair. If she isn't wearing stockings, one will see that her feet are goopy and constantly dripping.

With an overactive imagination and a very cutesy demeanor, Helia is always full of energy and flair. She's bouncy and sweet, always talking either to herself or someone else, and is never without a new idea. Her attitude is quite playful, and she loves tricks, games, anything involving skill. She's skillful herself, being a very good visionary and fast thinker. Luck is on her side, as she seems to have an abundant amount of it and is always ready for a risk. While she appears cute and frail she has quite a strong stomach, and is surprisingly good in a knife fight. She's excellent at literature, language and grammar, and picks up on things extremely fast. She's also very perceptive when it comes to her enviroment and knows herself in detail.

Helia's imagination is much too active, and she cannot distinguish between fiction and reality. Her nature is extremely violent, but she will only occasionally lash out at others or be rude to them, all in a cheerful tone. She's a person of extremes who sees everything in black and white, and refuses to let herself be swayed from any of her opinions. Her anger control is hair thin, albeit she avoids letting it show by taking it out on her own possessions or when no one else is around. She's also extremely possessive and bitter when it comes to anything she owns (or thinks she does). Boundaries don't exist to her; although she's toned down how intrusive she is towards orhers. Her language is very vulgar; she's learned some very colorful words and will use them whenever angry.

Due to being part rabbit, Helia has enhanced senses of hearing and smell. Her ears are around twice as sensitive as an average human's, while her nose is up to 2000 times as sensitive.

Helia was born with a genetic mutation that causes her feet to be goopy and extremely drippy. She wears stockings to hide it, but even with these on her feet are unstable and walking is difficult for her.

Everyone knew the Summer family of Manta Carlos was strict, organized, and very much well to do. As such, everyone was surprised when they chose to adopt a new baby boy to add to their 4 existing children. The idea that they were okay with a "stranger" in their home was baffling. Yet the baby was named Helio Kain, and he was born with a mutation and disability that caused goopy, unstable feet. The family seemed willing to take up the challenge, and some wondered if they did it for show.

From a very young age it became clear that Helio was... "different". He had no volume control, no filter on what he said even after scoldings, and was extremely harsh in his actions. Beginning in kindergarten she began to isolate himself socially from his peers. In truth, Helio, who actually used the name Helia for herself, hated the real world. Nobody knew the dirty looks, hitting and mocking she received from her family, or how they hated her for believing she was a girl. She needed an escape. As such, she invented a world called Somnus.

Somnus was a wonderful place. It served as an imaginary world she filled with glitter, pastels, and everything weird and wacky. Best of all, it contained death. In Somnus anyone she didn't like was murdered brutally, and she enjoyed it immensely. Eventually this became more than imaginary to her. Helia was convinced she lived there and that it was the only good place in the world, causing her to spend 24/7 indulging it and building it up even more.

The older she got the more intense Somnus became, and the more violent her behavior was. She started judging people based on what the Somnusians thought, and loudly declared all these judgements. Hitting and biting her siblings, smuggling knives to cut herself with, threatening everyone in sight, Helia was constantly in trou le and never given any love. Her parents chose to completely neglect her, and this only upset her and made her behavior worse. She ended up in detention multiple times.

It wasn't until she was 13 that Helia finally attempted a true crime. One night, by suggestion of her friends in Somnus, she tried to stab three of her siblings to death, but was stopped by her parents, who arrived just in time. In a panic, she proceeded to run away from home. She had completely lost control of herself, and was now wandering the streets in an utter delirium. Her cutesy clothing drew too much attention, so she traveled wandering back alleyways, and it was here that she met a girl named Vanessa

This new girl resembled the Somnusians so much that Helia was immediately attached. Vanessa said that she had also tried to murder someone in her family, and the two decided to support each other. Helia stole and tricked others whenever asked to, and this was how the two survived on the streets. However, Vanessa eventually convinced Helia to head back home, saying it would be safer to meet at the academy. As such, she went, and was disowned by her family upon returning. She is now a ward of the school, and continues to struggle to cope with the world around her. The school has taken further and further notice of her behavior overtime though, especially with her multiple detentions, and currently has a very close eye on her. As such, she has managed to tone down her behavior or hide what she does in order to prevent being sent elsewhere.

Helia is a ward of the school, and survives primarily on what is provided to her through living in the dorms.

Helia is a trans girl, but has yet to transition in any way despite presenting in as feminine of a way as possible.
