Personality Description: Golem Beta doesn't really have much of a personality so far. He is quiet, but mostly because he has no idea what to say, he is still understanding his own thought processes, and learning how to make sense of the information contained in his head, and how his own personhood fits into that.
Active Abilities:
Metalsinging: Golem Beta can manipulate metal and stone into shapes, and 'grow' them slowly into what he wants them to be. he primarily uses this to shape repairs for himself or tools for the same purpose. To make something like a new arm for himself takes around an entire day. He has the ability to manipulate stone and metal that he is touching or that which is within around one foot of his body. He has the ability to manipulate large amounts of metal and stone, making a tunnel to walk through would be at his upper limit and would be exceedingly slow (perhaps ten feet of a tunnel per day of continuous work). As with most things, the complexity of the thing shaped plays a role in the effort spent to shape it.
Overdrive: Golem Beta can exceed the limitations placed on his core by his creator, giving him enhanced abilities. This overdrive can be maintained for a maximum of one half hour, after which he risks damage to his core and magical conduits due to excessive heat. The overdrive doubles his strength, speed, and range of his groundsight.
Magical Explosion: Golem Beta can, by expending all of the energy contained in his golemic core, release it in an extremely powerful flash or explosion based on the type of energy currently powering his core, and the amount of energy in his reserves. This process is extremely efficient, transforming all of the energy inside his body into an explosion. However, this ability does consume all of his energy, and Golem Beta deactivates, left in the position he held at the moment of explosion until he becomes charged with enough energy to reactivate. At maximum charge, the resulting explosion decimates an area one hundred feet in diameter, and risks damage to his own mechanical parts.

Golem strength: Golem Beta was built to be stronger than a man, and the magical energy coursing through him provides him with enhanced strength. Without relying on overdrive, he is twice as strong as a normal human being. This strength is coupled with a larger weight for his frame than humans, and can only move about as fast as one.
Endurance: Golem Beta's body is built to be durable, and his stone body can take more punishment than a normal person's. Being made of stone and metal, Golem Beta can shrug off most physical attacks, and simply resists attacks from bladed weapons and small caliber firearms.
Groundsight: Golem Beta has an affinity for the earth under his feet, and can sense objects and substances in the ground in a 60 foot radius around him. This includes underground structures, the nature and composition of the earth beneath, and any voids existing within the range.
Golemic Core: Golem Beta is powered by a reserve of energy in his core, which gives him energy to move and think. Golem Beta's core was built to be more advanced than the others made by his creator, and possesses a larger reserve of energy. Based on a full charge, which can require multiple magic users to provide him with energy, he can maintain himself for close to two full weeks. This time is reduced if Golem Beta expends a large amount of energy in overdrive or explosion. Golem Beta does not require sleep due to his magical nature, but requires a periodic infusion of magical energy for his core. Golem Beta does not generate the magical energy which powers his core. Instead, he relies on others to provide him with the energy which gives him life and awareness.
Weaknesses:
Construct: As a construct of stone and metal, Golem Beta does not 'heal'. Time does not close his wounds, only replacement or repair.

Biography:
Golem Beta was created approximately fifty years before the present day as an improvement to an Alpha model, both made by a powerful wizard called Osgood. His advanced creation offered greater strength and dexterity, as well as problem-solving capacity. It was due to the expense of creating this model that no others of his specification were created. It was perhaps because of this that something awakened within him recently. Where once he had no individual mind, something in him arose which sought more than his programming. He sought more knowledge than what was granted him, which was explicitly forbidden to him by Osgood. The more Golem Beta learned, the more he realized that he had exceeded the bounds that his creator had placed on him. He had been programmed with more knowledge than his kin, and was given extensive knowledge of mathematics and science, but something drove him further beyond the simple lifting and calculating machine that he was created to be. Golem Beta then set about learning more of the world around him, and reached out to books, which were also forbidden to him. Luckily, Osgood was only human, and he needed sleep more than his golems needed recharging. Having learned to read, write, and even speak, he stole a tome of golemic knowledge from his creator and fled the tower he had called home all of his "life", not really knowing where to go. Osgood's books were extensive on the subjects of magic and science, but precious few contained maps or geography. After his escape, Golem Beta spent some time close to a city, the name of which he did not know. His power core, fueled by magical energy, ran down eventually. Luckily, Golem Beta lost power in a public place, and after a few days in a park being confused for modern art, was picked up by scouts who were responding to the reports of a strange stone man appearing from nowhere. Golem Beta's story begins as he wakes from his sleep after the scouts brought him to Manta Carlos, having been charged anew with magical energy by the people there.
