Goin' clubbing.

It was six in the evening on a rather dreary Friday, and Ed was sitting at the bar in a small raver club wondering why her drink tasted so dry.

She hadn't expected to stay, really. She'd overheard two older students talking about going clubbing, and it had sounded so fun that Ed knew she needed to try it. She was rather disappointed when she realized it only involved going somewhere and dancing, but she still retained an optimistic opinion of the activity, and on Friday she'd finally decided to try it out.

When she'd got to a promising looking club, however, the man at the door stopped her and told her twelve-year-olds weren't allowed to go clubbing. She'd tried to explain that she just wanted to look, but he wouldn't listen to her. She had expected as much, however - young people weren't allowed to have fun, she'd learned that early, and she'd brought along a change of clothes and simply transformed herself until an older female.

Her hair remained the same, of course, although she tied it up into two red pigtails; and she was now wearing too long dark green cargo pants that hugged her slender hips. She'd even brought another shirt to wear - a pretty purple tank top that ended a bit above her navel. She was going to apply makeup as well, but in the end she'd applied too much of this and too little of that; it looked horrible, and she'd wiped it all off before going in.

This time, the man at the door let her in without questioning her - she'd not even had to provide one of those plastic things she'd seen a few other younger people flash nervously in the man's direction. It was just as well, she decided, for most of the people who'd showed him one were made to leave.

Her drink, she realized, also had an olive in it. She'd asked the bartender for their favorite drink, but no one could possibly like this. Oh well, she couldn't question the girl about it... Maybe she'd just made a mistake, and would be embarrassed. She took another sip, making a face at the odd, dry drink. She was beginning to feel rather lightheaded, although she had no idea why. She put a hand on the table to steady herself, frowning over at the person next to her who seemed to have no problem with their beverage. They were also staring at her... She stuck out her tongue, muttering "Ave atque vale" over towards him - Hello, and goodbye. She didn't even realize she was speaking Latin, and when he frowned in confusion she tilted her head to the side. "What?"

ooc: No, I'm not getting my twelve-year-old character drunk... ^^; Open
