Poultry that moos? What the hell...
Well, the closest thing Riley could imagine to that was those chicken monstrosities at the farms. Riley's class got taken out for a field trip there one time. She thought those things must live a nightmarish existence, but the farmer told everyone that the chickienobs, or whatever the hell they were called, actually didn't feel pain or have thoughts? she hoped that was right, but she wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't.
She remembered a lot about that field trip. Like how all the teachers watched her like a hawk because they knew in their hearts she would be up to something, or she would make an explosion sound around the animals. They almost got a bracelet on her, just for that field trip. But she would never have disturbed the animals like that. They didn't deserve that.
She didn't think "moo" was quite the right sound. Was it?? It had been a while. Either way, she got Sofia to take her out to the farms. They would ask for some feathers that had fallen off of their nightmare chickens. And then she would ask what kind of sound they made: was it really a moo sound?
