Glib

Appearance Description: Glib appears to be a creature made entirely out of a red, translucent, slime like substance. Glib has large white eyes with no pupils or iris. It also appears to have not mouth but will create one when attempting to speak. Glib does not wear any type of clothing unless it is extremely cold. Glib normally prefers taking the shape of an average sized male silhouette, but this can change depending on the situation.

Personality Description: Glib has a very childlike, and playful personality. Often it will be happy and run around playing. It can also frequently be seen hugging people or just completely absorbing them into its mass. This “Always Happy” attitude can be bad sometimes though as it will often not be able to tell whether someone is in a bad mood or not. Now while Glib is happy most of the time it is still able to feel angry or sad, as well as other emotions. One thing that glib really enjoys doing though is seeing new things as well as people. Glib likes this because that means he can look at that object or person and learn how to morph into them.

Species Abilities: There are many benefits that Glib has as well as some weaknesses. One of his abilities is called "Absorbtion." This ability allows him to absorb someone or thing into its mass upon contact with them. This pull works in a similar fashion to quicksand but with a pull that's a bit more stronger and faster. His second ability is called "Shape Change." This allows Glib to morph into anything it has made visual contact with. Glib's third and final ability doesn't really have a name, but essentially it cant age due to it being artificial. Glib could still be killed by someone but age wise it cant die.

Weaknesses: Glib has many useful abilities but the matrial its body is made of also has some weaknesses. Those weaknesses are a vulnerability to extreme temperatures, wether it be cold or heat. When the temprature rises above 110 degrees fahrenheit Glib's body will start to melt until it's a puddle. When this happened Glib cannot reform or do anything until the temperature is lowered. As for cold tempature what happens is at about -10 degrees fahrenheit its body will start to freeze again causing Glib to not be able to do anything. The only way to thaw out Glib would be to raise the temperature.

Powers: Glib's power is called "Acidic Absorbtion." This power allows Glib to make the material inside of its body acidic slowly melting anything organic inside. That means beings made of metal or stone materials will not be affected as well as metal or stone objects.

Biography: Glib was the product of a freak accident. What happened was a private company was trying to create new materials for civil and possibly military use. Everything was going fine but something happened, a machine that was operating on the material malfunctioned causing a massive explosion across the facility. The machines malfunction along with the material and the explosion caused the material to gain sentience. After becoming sentient Glib was confused mostly looking around at the dead scientists studying their forms and learning how to eventually move like them. When the higher ups of the company heard about the incident they were incredibly shocked. They quickly had to find conduct PR campaigns as well as figure out what went wrong. After awhile Glib left the facility venturing out on its own. The company soon found out about Glib thinking it was a threat to their company and possibly humanity. So they their security forces to terminate it. Fortunatley before anything could be done to Glib, it was discovered by the Starlight Academy and taken in to learn and be kept safe.
