While this isn't the first time we've run this contest, we're doing a special rerun based on feedback from SA's semi-annual survey! Players are encouraged to get creative and come up with an event that will be run on the site at a later date!
What Kind of Contest is This?
Players should write up a summary of an event they'd like to see. There's no form, nor is there any strict requirements, although we do have a fair number of recommendations, based on the types of events that we've seen work/not work:​
  • Events can be one offs or intended to be repeated yearly.​
  • Events should not center around a specific character or player-made group.​
  • Events cannot require mature tags.​
  • Events that involve a wide variety of character types (students, civilians, and staff) tend to go better.​
  • Events should last no more than a month.​
  • If an event requires a post order, it will almost certainly not work out. Events that are rapid fire or allow for multiple threads work out better.​
  • Events cannot break any other site rules.​

How Do I Enter?

No form! Just send your event idea to ROMI. Do not post it here, and don't share with anyone else! All ideas should be sent via the conversation function, and clearly labelled (ideally 'event contest entry' or something along those lines. Anyone can enter as long as they have at least one accepted character (if you're accepted during the contest period, that's fine), but since mods will be doing the judging, mods cannot win.

We'll accept up to TWO entries from a single person.
