Biography: Fred Wilkins was just a normal kid born and was living in California, USA. It was all fine until he was 10, when his parents decided to move into Baltimore, Maryland, USA, which was a very dangerous city around 2 years ago back then.
He doesn't discover his powers in his home, but instead on the school bus.
Fred was on the school bus to go back home. It was a winter day. He was sitting in the back, talking to 5th graders. While he was talking, one of the 5th graders confronted him by "stealing" his hat. Fred thought that it was a joke, and in order to appreciate it, he gave the 5th grader a thumbs up. The 5th grader was laughing harder than ever, and Fred could take his hat back, fortunately.
He came to the island, of course, because of scouts! Someone (unknown) told the scouts that Fred could be supernatural. The scouts found him with his parents, going back to home from school (There was a Rainforest Reading Night activity in his school, and he participated in it), and offered them a place for him in the academy.
