Zoraida del Bosque opened the center without pomp or ceremony after her brother's, Tomas's, will was read, wanting to make right somehow all the hurt, damage, that Tomas and the Black Wings had caused the inhabitants of Manta Carlos.
The centre is a place where any and all who are in need of comfort, want to escape a bad situation, need help or care - financial, medical or otherwise - can come and stay for as long as they need to. The center is run and funded by a trust set up by the Del Bosque family and therefore all the needs of the occupants are looked after. If a guest so chooses, a small donation will be accepted or work can be exchanged for lodgings and food.
The facility at present has 36 shared rooms and 20 private rooms. There is a reading area, a games room and a TV room, a dining area with fridges and a microwave for out of hours food consumption, a swimming pool and gym that also serves as a rehabilitation area for those that need it as well as a small medical area for those requiring daily treatments or care and medical staff.
