Myth was slowly making his way toward the glistening lake below. He needed to get away from everyone, so he had decided that a quick flight and swim were just the ticket. That was why he was walking across the lawn wearing sandals, his swim trunks, and a loose black T-shirt. Finally reaching the lake, he laid down his towl, kicked off his sandals, and pulled off his shirt. Standing there in only his swim trunks, his back sseemed to grow tense, his muscles were rippling under his skin, and then it happened. Two large falcon like wings seemed to slowly burst from his back at the shoulders.
As he shrugged his shoulders to loosen them up. Spreading his wings to the side, Myth took a quick run toward the lake, and just before he reached the water's edge he jumped out over the lake, a powerful down stroke from his wings and he was quickly gaining altitude. Myth flew a quick circle around the lake, before heading out to the center of it. AS Myth reached the center, he began to fly straight up and then with a small whoop of delight, he spread his wings and stopped flying. Myth seemed to just hover there in air for a sec., but then gravity kicked in.
Myth seemed to fall backwards, pulled his wings in tight, and was quickly diving head first toward the lake below. As Myth got to the halfway point of his dive, he began to shift once more drawing his wings in, until they were no longer there. Myth prepared to do a dive so that he could easily slip into the water, but just as he was about to hit the water, his hands burst into flames. The fires did not burn him, but they did give him a shock throwing off his dive so that he hit the water on his back, hard. As Myth hit the water amidst the splash, rose a plume of steam as the firese were extinguished. The force of Myth's failed dive, sent him plummeting until he hit the sandy bottom. Myth put his feet under him and kicked off, the quickly rising to the surface. As his head breached the surface, he let out a gasp for air, and floated on his back as he caught his breath.
"Man did that hurt, why did my hands go off like that."
