Private Flowers And Accidents

It. Had. Been. A. Day.

Liun had woken up as usual, tried texting and calling friends and family off island, being worried. Then he did some training with his shifting, went to the community centre where something had been going on. Not to mention finding out about how the island is in a pocket dimension now. At least a part of his mind felt more at ease that communication would be back soon.

But now he walked through the forbidden forest, his spear slung over his back. This was the newest addition to Liun’s long day. Eein had texted the group chat and turned out to be stuck in a flower.

Liun hated being in the forbidden forest. He instinctively was more wary, his arms tensed ready to grab his spear. But it also made his predator instincts come out more. Liun had quit on hunting a long time ago, so being here made him feel... bad.

To his relief, he finally found a flower with Eein in it. He approached it, hands on his hips while he shook his head. “Eein, how did this even happen in the first place.” Liun sighed, still shaking his head.

Liun looked over at Daenmor arriving, giving a nod. "Nah I haven't taken pictures. Yet." Liun smiled as he turned to look back at the flower, getting his phone out. He promptly took a picture, then gestured to Daenmor. "Go and stand next to it, Daenmor, gotta get as much material as we can." He absolutely had a smirk on his face. The last picture Liun would take would be him having a selfie with Eein still stuck in the flower, pointing at him with a deadpan face.

After he had his fun with pictures that will more than likely humiliate the young dragon for many social gatherings to come, Liun put his phone away. "That I believe is a decent enough punishment for this, Eein. My dad used to do it all the time, I'd do something dumb I'm not supposed to and he never let me live it down. Humiliation is a good teacher, my friend." Liun spoke casually, taking his spear from his back. "Alright, let's take a look..."

He approached the flower, poking it with the spear to figure out where Eein's body was in it. Occasionally he hummed thoughtfully. "It seems a little tougher, but I reckon if I use my spear to flash freeze it, we could shatter it. Problem is though, I can't control where the freeze spreads to once I do it. Daenmor, could you try shattering it as soon as I do it? Otherwise Eein could get a freeze burn, and Huilu would probably have my head." While talking, Liun kept poking the flower still as he figured out where would be the best place to freeze it.

Liun gripped the spear with both of his hands. The freeze would only last 5 seconds, and Liun had figured out the best place to try do this. But he knew that it very well could still spread to Eein. An instant freeze, cold enough to cause a cold burn for a human. It'd still cause some damage even for those with an ice resistance. Nasty stuff. Two stabs at it to make it easy to shatter should enough. Liun had a good amount of faith in Daenmor to shatter it.

"Ok, now!" He spoke, almost more of a remark for himself. He stabbed the tip of the spear into the flower, enough to dig into it a little. Just as soon as he had started to pull it out, the area where he stabbed it rapidly froze, spreading. Liun quickly stabbed another spot nearby to do the same. At the least, he could now slice flower more to get Eein out.

As soon as Eein came tumbling out, Liun's nose wrinkled at the smell of whatever acid was inside the flower. His arm instinctively covered his nose, coughing a little as he took a step back. But it only lasted for a couple of moments. Afterwards, he looked down at Eein and his face changed to concern.
Liun didn't know how bad the damage would be, since he seemed relatively fine talking to them. "Shit!" He hissed, then crouched down next to Eein. "I'm sorry, kid, if I'd known how bad it was, I would've come by sooner."
