The cafeteria. People came here to eat and socialize. Brewer had no real need to be here considering he didn't actually need to eat. And yet here he was, standing off to the side watching people get their meals and sit with their friends. He was contemplating his options here. He could just leave, but that may ruin any chance for social interaction. He could sit at a table in an attempt to make conversation. That would probably end in strange looks, and people getting up and walking away. He didn't need to be labeled as a weirdo. His third option was get some food, and find a seat by himself.

He went with his third option. Brewer grabbed a tray, and gathered up some assorted foods just like the other students. After which, he found himself a place to sit. Alone. In his short time of being alive, he had never eaten. Although, he could. He had some options to sample. Brewer took a small forkful of some lasagna he'd gotten and put it in his mouth. He chewed it thoughtfully. Something in his head was telling him he'd had something similar, and better in a past life. Now that was bothering him as he sat in his silent contemplation.

While Lebeda lived at the schools, she would take advantage of school meals. In addition to making it easier to save money for her own place. Wouldn't that be wonderful! A home of her own, filled with furniture she owned, decorated how she pleased. It must have a spare bedroom for any swan maiden who needed a place to stay. Lebeda wished her home to be as much for those under her care as it was for herself.

Lebeda filled a tray with various vegetables, fruits and a big fresh from the oven roll that smelled divine. Tray in hand she searched for a place to sit and by great luck saw her friend Brewer sitting by himself. "Brewer!" She greeted the golem. Lebeda nodded to the open seat to his left, "May I join you?"

"Lebeda, good afternoon," he looked up at the swan goddess with his usual neutral expression. She was an interesting person, and one of the first people he'd managed to have a meaningful interaction with. He glanced at the empty seat across from him and then back to her.

"I was having a very riveting conversation with the air," he said gesturing to the seat in front of him. It was an attempt at a joke, however his tone and expression was flat as they often were. "That was a joke. You're welcome to sit here."

"Good afternoon to you as well," She returned. Then, laughed at Brewer's joke. The fact that he said it with such a flat tone and expression made it even funnier to her. "I shall endeavor to be a better conversationalist than the air." She said with a little joke of her own.

Lebeda took the open seat and settled after some slight adjusting of her cloak. "That is. . . lasangia, yes?" She said, eyeing the pasta upon his plate. "It is Italian food?" Lebeda only knew Russian dishes, and other simple dishes. The many cultural foods of other countries fascinated her. "It looks tasty." Perhaps she shall try a vegetarian version in the future.

"This is Italian food, yes. I vaguely recall a similar dish to this in my old home. Though the land it hailed from was not called Italy," he said. His memories of his previous life were a muddled blur at best. He remembered eating, and enjoying food, but couldn't remember what in particular. The only thing that seemed to hold was an extensive knowledge on magic. Whether that was by his father's design or not remained to be seen.

"I figure I should try the less specialized versions of food first. I... do not actually need food for nourishment. But I can eat if I wish to."

"You are from another place entirely than the Narrow Reality, right?" She said, vaguely recalling he had said as much before. She supposed it wasn't so strange to think of someone as from a whole separate reality. She had never left Russia before arriving on the island and to her it was the same as trying to imagine America or a city she had never heard of.

"You don't need to eat?" She questioned while nibbling on her vegetables. "I think it's nice you can still eat, though! I love eating." She chuckled at that. "And cooking. Perhaps I can prepare Russian dishes for you to try. I have an excellent borscht recipe. I'm quite proud of it." She said, looking quite proud of herself and she should be as she had developed her recipe over several years.

"That is correct. While many things are similar between our worlds, such as the geography, and some aspects of history. The nation's borders are different. We were also magically advanced, though in terms of date and time I would say this present world is at least one-hundred years ahead of my home world," he explained sounding almost robotic. Something he wanted to try to step away from. He was probably boring her with the long winded explanation.

"I suppose it was done in order to make me seem more.... alive. As I told you before this body is made of earth, despite how it may feel. Father is a master of his craft, after all," he seemed a bit proud of that fact about himself. That he was made with great care and skill. "This is my first time sitting down for a meal. I do find it enjoyable."

A different Earth. Lebeda tried to imagine it, something both familiar and not. A Russia that wasn't quite Russia. "A magically advanced society, it sounds-," She chuckled, "Well, magical. I was not always a goddess. I've only been a goddess for two years and before that I was but a normal girl who prayed that faeries were real." Lebeda was not put off by his delivery.

"Ah!" Lebeda gasped, delighted by that last little tidbit. "I have the honor of sharing your first meal with you? Wonderful!" She beamed, feeling truly blessed to enjoy this moment with her new friend. "And I'm certain your father is proud of you." He must be if he put so much care and detail into Brewer. "I would like to meet your father, if you'd like."
