Akane listened to Kenta carefully, but she couldn't quite understand why Shay acted that way all of a sudden. In the end it sounded like it didn't have much to do with what happened to them that time in the forest...
Only when he mentioned breathing fire has she snapped out of thinking about her. He raged and his powers were active, which Akane thought was inappropriate. She could understand that he was desperate over losing a friend, but she was also worried that because of it he might have been on a verge to lose control over his actions again - and she didn't like it! Still, she tried not to show she was upset...
"I'm sorry, I really don't know what to say about your friend... Maybe she needs some time to think about your relationship, a lot of things happened to you two. Maybe she too is confused..." She shrugged.
"And... about what happened afterwards - don't you think you overreacted a bit? I mean, you need to keep control over your actions not to lose it again. You breathed fire, which means that you used your powers even if you were not in danger. I think you shouldn't let things like that happen..." She tried to point out his mistake.
