Every place has rumors, and Manta Carlos is no different. This thread exists to help people get a feel for what kind of gossip their characters would be hearing. If something's going on in-character, and you think other characters would know about it, be sure to post here and let others know!

Rumor: The student council vice president missed the entire second week of October, and when he came back he was missing most of his left arm.
Who's Hearing It?: Mostly people around Starlight Academy, especially those close to the council

Rumour: One of the Halcyon students poured a bucket of holy water over Chloe Black. Definitely seems like attempted murder or a hate crime, thankfully she wasn't hurt by it. It took place during lunch on Monday, October 29th.
Who's Hearing It?: Definitely a lot of people who are around Starlight Academy, particularly demonic or Halcyon students. Those who know Xavier and/or Chloe would know about it.

Rumor: Chloe has been scared to walk the halls of the school, since the incident mentioned above. So she's been having "her friend Ozzy," a big rhino headed guy who just about everyone realizes is some kind of bodyguard, accompany her to school. He's also been carrying some kind of huge magic scroll to summon her to each class, or something like that, so she doesn't need to risk walking through the halls.

Is someone out to get her? She's sure acting like it.

Who's Hearing It?: Her family, friends, teachers and classmates would notice it first. The word might gradually spread through the school.

Rumor: Some Halcyonites had a massive brawl in the middle of downtown. One guy got super fucked up.
Who's Hearing It?: More or less anyone, but it's a common rumor at school so hot on the heels of the hate crime that happened with another Halcyonite.

Rumor: Phaedra has been sighted on the island. The spider was seen entering the community center on the evening of the 13th. While no one there seemed to know who she was, as word of mouth spreads, so to will people eventually put a name to the face.

The rumor varies by who tells it. There are even those saying that it wasn't Phaedra, but that it was in fact Pandora.

Really anything is possible as people bend and twist the facts.

Who's Hearing It?: Anyone and everyone could be hearing it, though it has the greatest impact on those who were close to Phaedra.

Rumor: Mysterious but beautiful snow statues have been sprouting here and there in public places, no one has seen the artist. The statues are magically enhanced and don't break easily
Who's Hearing It?: Anyone walking around the city can see the statues, most in Oceania park, some people wonder who makes them and some just enjoy the beautiful art

Rumor: A mysterious blue skinned demon has been seen running around the forest. He's friendly enough, has even saved a few people from wolves but he is a bit odd. He seems to be actually living in the forest.
Who's Hearing It?: Anyone who goes to the woods often will have heard the rumor and those in the demonic community will likely have heard it as well.

Rumor: A regalis named Helena has been kidnapped back in the realm of the regalia around the 27th.
Who's Hearing It?: Regalia and whoever they tell about it to. Helena's kidnapping has become a news story back in their realm and any regalia who keeps up on what's going on back home would know about it.
