Skittles stared longingly at the water. It was so hot. She didn't care that she was wearing a pair of shorts and a teeshirt, not a swimsuit. She figured that the water would feel really nice. If she could convince herself to go in alone.

She moved hesitantly closer to the water. "Ehh.. It's kay Skittles... There's nothing in there that's big enought to eat you..." she told herself, not believing herself.

She eyed the water warily. "But there could be..." she muttered. She plopped down and sat crosslegged, resolving to have a staring contest with the water.

The sun came out from behind a stray cloud, and it reflected off of the water. Skittle flopped over onto her back. "Eeek My eyeessss." she whined, unaware of the presence of any others at the moment, "THAT WAS SO TOTALLY CHEATING, LAKE!!" she hollered at the water, closing her eyes and giggling insanely.

Skittles couldn't help but grin at the antics of the other teenager, though she was blushing with the realization that he'd seen her random display. "Err.." she pulled her hair off of her neck in an attempt to cool off. "Yeah. It was very brave of you."

She clapped at him from her sitting position. It was a brief movement, for when she moved her hands, her hair attacked her neck again. She decided to search her pockets, and came up with a random bit of string, which she used to pull her hair up completely. "Ehh..." she said, sounding rather intelligent.

She felt a bit awkward, what with him witnessing her tyrade at the lake. "I'm Skittles.." she introduced herself, smiling cheerfully up at him from her position on the ground.

Skittles couldn't help but giggle too, and though she felt slightly uncomfortable with him sitting next to her and all, something made her not move.

"I was trying to convince myself to go swimming." she admitted, glancing at James out of the corner of her eye before returning to staring at the lake, flushing lightly again. "But I couldn't. I'm scared of water, ya see." she confided, and immediately regretted it, though she forced herself not to beat herself up about it, since it was already said, and the damage done. She reminded herself that the only thing she could do was accept it.

She turned her head to look at him full on. "What were you doing?" she questioned casually, making conversation. She didn't like sitting in silence with people until she actually knew them well. And that usually took a while. She giggled absently, "Other than killing the lake, that is." she added with a grin, though blushed again at her sudden outburst and looked out at the lake again.

Skittles cocked her head at James. "Do you think you could? I really don't like being scared of deep water." she asked, curiousity coming into her features, though she flushed again when he mentioned boogying. "Heh, I can't dance." she admitted, or rather, stated. Since she really could dance. She just didn't. She told herself that she'd have to start saying she didn't dance instead of couldn't so that she wasn't lying.

She grinned. "Chillaxing is always good. And far more fun to say." she agreed, rubbing her eyes, which still stung slightly from the attack that the lake had given her.
