Appearance Description: He has a rather distinctive and large presence that can be felt without being seen when he enters a room. Eliazar stands at 6'4" tends to lean towards formal wear for most occasions. That being said, his features and even his outfits can change in the blink of an eye. He’s even taken the form of animals as well as his demon form while lecturing. His hair is black usually standing at a medium length and his eyes are red. His truest comprehensible form on this plane is a winged seven headed demon.
Personality Description: Eccentric might be the easiest word to describe him. From the name he’s given himself right down to his manner of speech. In many senses he’s simply a curious explorer, looking to learn the true nature of existence. He tends to come off as overly enthusiastic and confident regardless of the situation. Which can be rather overwhelming for students at first but, a month into their course they’re usually used to his antics. He’s a rather inquisitive man himself, and so he encourages his students to delve into their own curiosities so long as it doesn’t leave their psyches fractured in the end. His teaching style is often described as intensive yet stimulating if you can grasp the concepts he presents.
Eli enjoys hot drinks and stimulating conversations as well as meeting beings of similar status to himself. Other beings he often likes to study their behavior and has in the past gone so far as to set up elaborate scenarios just to see what they’d do. He even took special interest in the ones that thought they could bring him down, toying with them until he grew bored with them and left. Then there were those he found generally disgusting and outright went after them himself. He has an odd moral code that doesn’t quite line up with what others would call good or evil.
Powers: The first thing to note is a being of his nature can’t just waltz onto another plane and just have the full force of his power just radiating. Not only that, but things simply wouldn’t be interesting having that level of power at his disposal. Like using cheat codes in a videogame. He also has to factor in what kinds of effects that kind of power would have on the world he happens to be visiting. In the case of Manta Carlos his abilities are as follows.
Chaos magic: Eli’s own personal brand of magic is chaos based altering of the world around him. The ability itself allows for him to have a variety of applications such as teleportation, within a two mile radius, and levitation which he can use to float up to five feet off the ground. He can also generate a field reverses and redirect spells, attacks, and other such things onto the original casters so long as he’s aware of where it’s coming from and it’s within a three foot radius of him. Finally, he can fire chaos energy. This energy is generally concussive and explosive in nature however, it can have temporary effects of turning people into random animals. The effects can last between five minutes to an hour depending on the strength of the blast. It can be noted if the person affected is a shifter, they can simply transform into their other forms to escape the effects. It can also be noted that people retain their powers when in this transformed state.
Species Abilities: Eli is a member of an older order of demons who are arguably closer to Eldritch beings than anything else. The hell he resides in is more of a black whirlpool of souls than anything else. It caused its residents to grow large in a sense. Eli’s truest form isn’t even something that can be perceived by the eyes of most beings, it’s something that’s felt. In order for Eli to travel through various planes and dimensions, he first had to seal off the brunt of his power and create a physical body. He displays simplistic shapeshifting abilities in this form. He cannot mimic people or their abilities, it’s more a case of taking what he would look like as “insert species here”. This body is also physically stronger, able to lift a semi truck. He also heals faster than the average human’s would. Deep cuts and mutilations can easily heal within seconds of receiving them.
Destroying this body will simply cause his consciousness to return to the void he originally hailed from. He doesn’t exactly have an aversion to holy objects and items but if used properly they can harm him. His truest weaknesses are some more ancient rituals and artifacts which can banish him. Since access to those is in some cases limited, keeping up constant thorough destruction of his body(hitting him faster than he heals) is the best way to get rid of him. Elements such as fire and electricity can be very effective in these instances. It can take several months for him to rebuild a new body after being returned to his void.
Biography: Eliazar’s earliest memories are being surrounded by darkness. The concept of light, was a foreign thing to him. It’s unknown what specific event triggered his need to break out of this hell but he did, instinctively fashioning himself a physical form and spending centuries exploring various dimensions and even crossing into other universes, notably one where he wound up fighting an evil version of Albert Einstein. He’s well versed in multiple timelines, races, and cultures. Eli has even published books in some of these dimensions based on his travels. Eventually he found his way to Manta Carlos, a rather unique island and crossroads where he ultimately settled down and took up a job teaching at the school.
He's recently discovered he has a "son" which is an unexpected turn of events for him. He's currently trying to navigate fatherhood as best as he can.
