It had been an average day at the office for Dr. Vladimir Wolfstein. He had had the usual variety of ailments and complaints along with a yearly check-up, two flu shots, and a patient follow-up after a few routine blood tests.
All in all, it had been a fairly busy, but stress-free, day. Nothing out of the extraordinary had happened, and none of his patients were severely distressed, in pain, or having chronic issues. It was basically all a doctor could ever ask for.
Looking at his list of appointments for the day, he spied a name he did not recognize, Yoonyoung Kim. Were they a new patient? He looked at the accompanying paperwork and saw, that yes, they had to be since their file was empty and they most certainly were not a referral.
"Doctor, your next patient is here to see you," the medical receptionist said as they peeked their head into his office. "I placed Miss Yoonyoung Kim in room three," she added quickly right before she hurried back to her station to answer the phone.
