Dinner and a Show

The movie was even better than Remi expected, but she had a feeling it was due to her ignorance on the subject. She read some comics about or including Doctor Strange, but she didn't really know anything past him being a sorcerer and his original backstory. Nevertheless, the movie was still great, and now she just had to read the comics to see how it compared. Sometimes the comics or shows were better than the movies, and sometimes the comics decided to adapt the worst parts of the movies, which was pretty disappointing and make her quit some series. Next on her list to see was Fantastic Beasts and Star Wars.

As she walked with Bron around Downtown she asked him, "So, about dinner, did you have a specific place in mind? I know a pretty good restaurant that serves real good meat. I know a few actually. My family are pretty big on their protein. I'm fine with vegetarian places too though, or other types of places."

He smiled as they walked through the city, he had enjoyed the film, it was interesting to watch films about magic when you grew up around it, "I'm down for anything, but as you can probably tell I'm a big meat eater too." He thought about the many restaurants the city held, "there is one that's really good, has some of everything, meant to cater to all the species that could potentially go there."

Remi considered it for a moment. She didn't want to keep having him make all the decisions and telling where they should go, but he took her to the café, and she took him to the movies. Now it was his turn to suggest something again. "That sounds wonderful. I'd like to try out what other species has. I wonder if there's any oricenta dishes, I have a feeling we aren't the only oricenta who came here."

He smiled and offered his arm, the restaurant wasn't far, and it would be his treat, "thank you for coming with me, it's been really nice spending time with you," Bron had had more fun with Remi than he had with anyone in a long time, "I've enjoyed the city, but its a lot better seeing it with you," he may have been trying to flirt just a bit.

It didn't take long for them to reach the restaurant and get seated, it was a nice place, with a calm atmosphere, "I've been here a few times, really good food, it's a good place to try new things. It even has some Asgardian dishes."

Remi took his arm gently and blushed a golden hue when he complimented her. "I've never enjoyed myself this much here with someone outside of my family. I have to thank you for that." She gave a small smile to him, but then went back to her blank expression only seconds after.

I took them a shorter time to get to the restaurant than Remi expected. Already she could feel her stomach lusting for some food, despite just leaving a theater where she ordered herself popcorn and a bunch of snacks. She really was turning out to be just like her maman and Arjean, but maybe it wasn't so bad if she stayed fit and didn't go overboard with it. Today was her day to enjoy herself, and she wasn't going to let the idea of not eating at an amazing restaurant ruin her fun. She was going to eat as much as she'd like... and most likely get full after taking one bite of her meal.

He smiled at her and then took a look at the menu, as Bron had said it offered food from the various cultures and people who lived her, dishes originating from other worlds and sometimes other dimensions, it was a perfect place to try a bit of everything. "I found this place by accident after I first arrived, I was just wandering around and noticed it," he gave her another one of his calm smiles.

"I really liked it," his smile never left his face, "but I think it will be better tonight, as I think all meals are better when shared with great people." Bron had always been calmer than his dad, never as forward as him, but he was interested in this girl, she was unlike any girl he had ever met.

"I need to try accidentally finding places sometime, though I think it'd be the most fun with you," she responded. One part of her worried she'd stumble into something she shouldn't have seen, the other part of her loved the idea of seeing new things by surprise and felt she could handle anything that came her way. Her family was powerful and wouldn't hesitate to back her up if she got in trouble, and even without her family she felt confident in her abilities to defend herself. Bron would be there too to defend her if they found themselves somewhere dangerous.

Remi looked through the menu longer than she usually took. There were so many things that it stunned her for a moment, and eventually she began to feel like she should just pick something she was used to. "I'm not too sure what to pick. Something meaty I guess, but... no... Hmm... I have meat everyday, maybe fruits and veggies. That sounds good." At that point she was practically talking to herself.

He never stopped smiling, he wasn't sure if it was obvious or not but he was quite taken with Remi, they hadn't known each other long, but she was unlike anyone he had ever met, and he could tell that she enjoyed being with him, she didn't care if he was prince or peasant. It was the first time in a long time that he was actually thinking of dating someone.

He looked to the menu, like her his menu was mainly meat with some vegetables, he had a lot of muscle mass, god or not he still had to maintain it through training and certain foods. "Get whatever you want, it's my treat, as a thank you," he looked through the menu, and decided to go with a a chicken dish with fruit on the side, "we should go to the space station one day, see all the craziness up there," he smiled brightly. "I love seeing new things, despite everything, I did like traveling with my father, seeing the other realms," he saw war way before he was ready, but that wasn't good dinner conversation.

"I hear some ships even take passengers, imagine traveling through the stars," he loved adventuring, he loved traveling, "good thing about traveling with me is that I can always teleport us back when we want."

It was hard to ignore Bron's constant smiling. Even with her eyes closed when looking away from her menu she could tell he was happy, yet she took a few peeks just to see his expression sometimes. Eventually she decided on a meal and went with ham, rice, and mixed vegetables. She didn't want to get too expensive considering he was paying for her, but she also wanted something to fill her up. She wasn't excited about the idea of coming home only for Arjean to smell the ham on her and get jealous. There had to be some place for her to brush her teeth and get any smell of food off of her to avoid questions from Arjean and her maman.

"I appreciate you offering to pay, but what do you mean? A thank you for what?" She wondered what she did for him that was deserving of a "Thank you" other than taking him to see the movies. The realization that she took him to see a movie where at the very end Thor appears made her cringe a bit on the inside. "Also, I agree. I love seeing new things, and The Space Station seems like my type of new. Travelling through space sounds beautiful, though I'd prefer to not get too close to scorching hot stars." She wondered if the chilliness of space would kill her, or if she would thrive in it because of coldness being another of her natural habitat. That wasn't a risk she was willing to take.

She asked what he'd be thanking her for, "well, a thank you for spending time with me," simple hanging out and watching a movie seemed like pretty simple things, but Bron appreciated it no matter how simple it was. In Asgard he often wondered if the people he spent time with were doing it because they actually liked him, or if it was because he was a prince, he knew he didn't have to worry about that with her.

He nodded, "yea, I got to explore the Asgardian dimension a good amount, but everything in this dimension is new," he loved the idea of visiting other planets. He chuckled a bit, "yea we'd have to keep away from the stars, don't want to get burnt." He took a sip of his soda, "in Asgard we used a rainbow bridge which can connect to different worlds, my sword was made using the same magic."
