No one said being a parent would be easy. They all said it was the hardest thing you could ever do. They said that it was the scariest thing, the most rewarding, the most stressful. It was the worst job with the best pay off. And the final outcome was a masterpiece.

Versailles was terrified, as she neared the end of the term. She was at the doctor's nearly every waking moment, ensuring everything would go smoothly when It happened. Abel hovered like a humming bird, moving at a thousand miles a minute to make sure she wouldn't move. Wouldn't do anything to risk the babies. He worried too much, but he'd promised to take them. He wanted to be a father, to raise a family. That was his dream. So now these three, vampire-human babies, had three fathers. It went from being alone, to having godparents, to having two dads and a godparent, jumping up to three dads, several godparents, and a grandfather. Zero to a hundred in ten seconds, as they said.

It was only 24 hours before the due date. It was fine. There was nothing to worry about, they said. The boys would take care of everything. Only Seamus and Abel would be going in the room with her. The doctors would make sure everything went smoothly. The sandy blonde head of her brother was the last thing Larisa saw before the drugs tempted her into sleep.
