The Butterfly Dictum
A tome of what many call chaos magic, the Butterfly Dictum, in its current incarnation, takes the form of a .PDF file on a tablet. The pages all look to have been scanned in over centuries, from hand written sections of manuscript to heavy typewriter font, and even some pages cut and pasted together from newspaper clippings and obvious scrapbooking. The book has allowed Clement, after careful study, to perform a few distinct feats of magic. He currently only has one ability he gained from the tome, but he can learn more as time goes on.
The Probability of Life
Clement's first major use of the book was to give himself a human form. Given that the Butterfly Dictum is a tome of chaos and probability magic, this was done in a rather clever way. Essentially, Clement alters the probability of the ritual he cast that made him into a lich, causing the spell to have turned him into a legitimate immortal instead.
This is, at most, a cosmetic change and makes him look, sound, and feel human to those around him. The form is not perfect however, with his bright violet eyes and the strange tattoos that run up his arms, shoulders, and back which constantly undulate and shift in a rather obvious manner. Likewise, the chaotic energies he uses to keep this form held together at all cause probability to be dampened in an area around him. Within ten feet of Clement while he is in his human form, random chance is all but nullified. Dice always land on their highest face, coins always land on heads, etc. The effect is minor but noticable if one spends enough time around Clement.
