Name: Clay Sidney Virgo
Age: 15
Birthday: April 22[sup]nd[/sup]
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Class: High-School
Grade: Coming into 10th

Appearance Description: Clay stands at 5’11. His build is skinny with some muscle but not much. His brown hair is curly to wavy, depending on the humidity. It straightens and whiter and his eyes turn bluer with the more electrical energy he has siphoned. At his max potential it is completely straight and pale snowy white with his eyes a brilliant glowing blue with electrical sparks in the iris. His skin is usually tan. His face is able to grow a beard so he often shaves his facial hair. His upper body adores slight amounts of chest hair. He’s very high in testosterone. His style in the heat is usually a form of khaki colored shorts with a three button shirt. When it’s colder out he wears a long-sleeved shirt with a pair of jeans. His shoes are black sneakers that allow air to flow through them.

Personality Description: A kind soul. He’s nice but timid. Not shy just slow to take a challenge. He weighs all the benefits and consequences first. He overthinks things often and can get lost in thought. Violence is not in his nature. He prefers to avoid one with his words and not his fist. It doesn’t mean he won’t fight because he will, especially to protect those he cares about. He often day dreams of him being greater than he is. Of dreams where he saves the world. The outdoors is his spot. Whether it’s sports or it’s just lounging around. The more electrical appliances around the more connected he feels while being in an area without any electrical appliances leaves him feeling alone.

Powers:

Electrical Siphon: Clay has the ability to siphon electricity through small pads on the tips of his fingers. As of now, Clay is unable to control how much and when he wants to siphon. Sometimes it works and more often than not it doesn’t. He wears gloves insulated with rubber to prevent accidentally siphoning electricity. Siphoning too much electricity could hurt Clay as well. He still a limit. He's not immune to the adverse effects of electricity. He just has a lot more resistance than normal. That limit has not been well defined yet. It has been estimated around eight amps of extra electrical energy stored. Any higher and Clay risk burns, cardiac arrest, and ultimately death. When Clay has about eight amps of electricity flowing inside of him it starts to dissipate. Clay does not have the capacity to keep the extra energy inside of him yet. Electricity will arc around his arms, between his fingers and into the air. The likeliness of him being hit by a lightning bolt is five times the average. He is a conduit after all.

Electrical Conduit: Using the electricity siphoned Clay can increase the magnitude and speed that chemical reactions happen. Effectively increasing the effectiveness of any body part that uses electricity in some way. This in theory could make him stronger, faster, and increase his brains processing power but only one of these effects can happen at a single time. He’s never done it on purpose before but in theory he could do it whenever he has an excess amount of electrical energy (After using Electrical Siphon). Side effects of this are increased bowel movements (Diarrhea), dangerously fast metabolism (Clay needs to eat a ton after he uses this power.), vivid dreams/nightmares (From enhancing his brain’s processing speed.)

Using this ability while wet will actually cause pain as the increased conductivity caused by the water will accidentally enhance the output and input of Clay’s nervous system by his skin. With enough training Clay may be able to get over this side effect but as of now he cannot avoid this side effect. The pain ranges from small amounts (Slightly wet) to excruciating (Went deep sea diving wet). Because of this Clay prefers to stay inside when it rains.

Biography:
Clay was born in the American state of Ohio. He was very sickly as a baby and the doctors gave him a 12.5% chance of survival. His nervous system had developed strangely and as a result the Central Nervous System often misfired and gave Clay’s body the wrong messages. His parents felt sick at the thought of him dying. They looked everywhere they could, no stone was left unturned. One day they were approached by a man with a thick Russian accent named Renat Romanov. He told them about an experimental treatment that could save the life of the patients with this problem. Unable to see their baby boy suffering any longer they agreed on the treatment. The parents were rarely told about the treatment itself and for the next few months they saw Clay in person a few times a week. Four months later after the final treatment they saw clay. His suffering had ended; he had made a full recovery. The only differences his Parents found were small pads on the tips of his fingers. As Clay aged the pads seemed to turn to match his skin color. After the treatment all connection with Renat Romanov was cut. They were unable to get a hold of Renat.

Clay developed normally through the years. He was often the tallest kid in his younger classes. His parents taught him to be kind and gentle while not budging to anyone’s commands that he didn’t agree with. Clay was a genius in terms of book smarts. His grades rarely dropped below the nineties and when they did it was due to laziness rather than actual lack of understanding. His parents had successful careers and Clay lived very comfortably and somewhat sheltered. They lived in a nice neighborhood with little to no crime. It was nice, a nice life. Like clockwork, the day Clay was released from the treatment his powers started to activate. Maybe it was the onset of puberty. Who knows? At first it was phones shorting followed with a rush of energy in Clay. This happened rarely but it was getting more and more common. It happened at school, at home, and even when he was hanging out with friends.

He was scared, what was happening to him? Doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with him. It was strange and scary. Clay just wanted it to stop. He would be ridiculed at school for being terribly unlucky with electronics and he was even blamed once for breaking a projector. A new world was opening for him. One day he was approached by three bullies. Sadly, Clay didn’t have the willpower to fight them that day. He was pummeled and bloodied. That was the worst it had ever gotten. Someone came to help him. A girl who was slightly older than him. Maybe a year older. Her name was Rachael and she was nice. They ended up becoming friends and she noticed that Clay only absorbed electrical through the pads on his fingertips. She also designed the gloves that he wears on his hands to this day. The rubber insulation rendered his absorption powers inert.

The door to a completely strange and magical world opened a few weeks later. The day was young and cool. Rachael invited Clay to investigate a pond where fish have been going missing. Normally this wouldn’t bother anyone, people fish all the time. However, this pond contained about 100 fish in it and they all disappeared overnight. Upon a thorough investigation in some flirtation the discovered a large wolf had been in the area overnight. That didn’t make sense to Clay. A wolf couldn’t have eaten all the fish in that pond. They staked the place out during the night and only found a man with long hair drinking the pond water. Gross. They confronted the man and he became startled. He yelled at the two and told them to leave. When Clay and Rachael told the man, “No” he became frenzied. Yelling and foaming at the mouth. A crazy man for sure. Clay wanted to leave but Rachael convinced Clay to stay. The man got on his knees and transformed into something else. A wolf. Not just any wolf but one that was nearly the size of a horse. Clay stood in front of Rachael, protecting her with his arm. The beast lunged toward them. Foam coming from its mouth. Something took over Clay, he didn’t know what. He formed a fist and struck the wolf midair. He hit it far stronger and faster than he should have been able to. It flew into the bushes and ran away. The two took its idea and ran back home. By strange coincidence the Russian Renat Romanov was waiting for Clay at his home. After much deliberation with Clay’s parents they decided to send him somewhere else for school next year. Romanov explained the strange and magical world that many do not know of. Under their best judgement they decided to agree with Romanov and send Clay somewhere where he won’t be judged. Romanov would be paying out of his pocket for it completely, suspiciously enough. What Romanov benefits from this is unknown but constant social bullying of Clay is too much for his parents to handle.

Now Clay stands on a dock after a lengthy boat ride to The Manta Carlos islands with curiosity to this strange and magical world and even more curiosity about what Romanov gets from this.
