Pandora was led into the station by Detective Verma. Her wrists were cuffed and she was possibly being detained. Beside her was a man still wrapped up in the silken cocoon she had made for him. That was why she was here now, in cuffs. She had been attacked by an anti demon supporter and rather than tear him apart for all to see she had simply restrained him. She had then proceeded to go to a public place and await the local authorities. Everyone had made her promise not to maim or kill and she had chosen to show restraint. So now because there was a body, she was getting punished. At the very least she felt the potential for some very kinky fun with these handcuffs.

The spider had even opted to come willingly, which might have been a surprise for many. If anything her presence seemed a surprise to the officer sitting at the front desk as he fell out of his chair when he looked up to see Felix leading her into the station. The cocooned man had been yelling the whole way here. he couldn't see, but she had left him a a gap to breath through, and he had been taking that luxury for granted as he spewed all sorts of profanities at the spider. Among them were threats to demons as a whole.

Pandora had not had a chance to check her body where she had been struck yet. But underneath the torn fabric of her shirt, grew a large purple bruise along her ribs. It ached but she could bare it. To make the whole process easier she had used this quick moment to shift into her human form, sacrificing her 8 legs for the two pedapalps that now formed into a pair of black human legs. She still stood at over six feet tall lending her a rather imposing visage none the less.

Geez, what a mess.

If it were up to Felix, he wouldn't have detained her, but talk shit get hit wasn't exactly the proper response to this sort of mess. A bunch of people were looking at him as he dragged the menacing spider into the station with her cocoon. They were all thinking the same thing: She was caught doing something she shouldn't. He knew that. That was why he had to clear the air. Felix led her into holding with the man in tow.

"Her name is Pandora. She came with me willingly, explaining that this man attacked her in her own home. I caught her in the street dragging his body around in this cocoon," he explained to the nearby higher ups, gesturing to the cocoon. He looked at a few patrol officers then. "Untie him, then put him in one of the cells."

After they did so, they took the man into holding, raving like mad about how the evil demon lady attacked him unprovoked. With how he saw the situation, he couldn't possibly take sides. But he trusted Pandora, and the fact that she gave herself up willingly would look better in her case. With the initial report over with, he led him to the interrogation room. He said the same things: He was just an innocent civilian that got viciously attacked. After that, he took Pandora into the interrogation room.

"Hello, Pandora. I'm sorry this event is taking too long. He's clearly feeding us a different story to get him off, and given your track record and the fact that he was cocooned... it doesn't exactly paint you in the best light. Some of the police are saying that him being cocooned implied he was going to be a snack." He smiled, strained. "But I'm sympathetic. You know I am. I know you, Pandora, I've seen your heroism in the maze and your efforts into becoming a better person, so you're good in my book. This thing could drag on for days. If we have witness testimonies, or his assault weapon, or any evidence to support that he was an anti-demon protester, we could help move along the process. Do you have any of those?"

Pandora was led into the holding cells where she was left to wait for a moment. In that time no one seemed to keen on interacting her. Other officers would scurry by on occasion, some of them daring to stop for a brief moment to look her over. One even stopped to snap a photo of her behind bars. while it hadn't been very professional, it was not something that the spider really minded all too much. In truth it was a little flattering.

Before too long though Felix came back and took her to an interrogation room. In her human form navigating the smaller hallways was much easier, and she was even able to have a seat in the chair opposite of Felix. She kept her legs crossed, as her skirt covered very little, as was the norm for her. To anyone who didn't know her she might have been considered a prostitute.

Felix started by apologizing for how long things were taking. Pandora shrugged in response. There wasn't much that could be done about that. The justice system seemed to always take longer than simply dealing with things on her own, she knew that before she turned herself in. The issue that the guilty party had no intention of admitting his guilt would also slow things down. Again though it was something she had expected.

"My dear Mr. Felix. I know very well my reputation. As do you, and I can assume everyone in this building. We have no need to sugar coat it. I'm certain that if not for a substantial lack of evidence of any kind I would have been arrested much sooner for the things that people think I've done." She was being honest, but still retaining a degree of caution in her words. No point on incriminating herself directly for anything else. She maintained a calm and pleasant demeanor as she spoke. "I suspected he might not openly admit to breaking into my home and attacking me. And I admit perhaps under different circumstances I would have thrown him from the top of my Balcony... Or worse. But things are different now."

She hesitated now. Things were different. she needed to be honest here, not that that was a problem for her. But in doing so she would reveal something that she had wanted to keep quiet for a brief period. "Mr. Felix? A thought occurred to me. So long as I am innocent, or rather found to be innocent, any recordings made in this room do not need to be shared with the public? And No one will need to discuss this further? I have things that I would prefer to be kept hidden for a little while."

Felix kept standing, but he was relaxed and receptive to the conversation. They both knew she should be behind bar. That didn't sit well with him. After all, Manta Carlos was about rehabilitation, and she was doing well enough on her own.

As the conversation went on, it didn't go in the direction he thought it would. He thought she'd give her leads or things like that, not... whatever this was. He sat across her this time, deciding to interact to her in a more relaxed way. "Of course. We need evidence that you're innocent first, but I promise you that we will keep complete police confidentiality." He tilted his head. "For the record, what exactly do you want hidden?"

Pandora gave a small sigh. For the first time since she had turned herself in, she actually looked concerned. She wasn't worried about this. She could have easily gotten away with murdering this fellow, and hiding the evidence. Hell in all truth she was hungry enough to have eaten him. But he had been in her home, and that was a big deal now. "Felix..." She started. Her tone dropping to a whisper. All the confidence and playfulness was gone entirely. She was somber now, and for another moment she was deep in thought.

"I-I have witnesses..." This was it. She didn't want anyone to know about them yet. A few people had already learned and in her own mind that was a few people too many. She after all was still so confused by everything that was happening. "my children were in the house when I was attacked..." Her voice shook now. She knew Felix was a good cop. He was fair and honest, if not at least a lot more than anyone else.

"They are ok... They hid when he broke in... But... I sought you out rather than handling this on my own because... I'm...I'm scared." That actually hurt her to say. She was not the person that anyone could imagine being afraid of anything. But in this case her own safety was not what was at stake. Had she not come home when she did.. had this played out any differently that man could have found one of her girls. He had already been prepared to pick a fight with her, and that suggested he had been prepared to kill.

Felix raised both of his eyebrows, completely surprised by this news. This was... new, wasn't it? Truth be told, he didn't know Pandora all that much, but she'd always struck him as someone that didn't care about anyone, much less kids.

He didn't have time to gossip right then. The sooner Pandora was out, the sooner she could go back to her home and keep her children safe. "You're scared he would've broken in and hurt your children." He nodded. "Alright, I believe that's a suitable enough witness testimony. Perhaps I can go to your home and ask them about it, write it down so we can start processing the paperwork to get you out. We can keep the children information strictly on the paperwork."

He stood up and gestured for Pandora to follow him out of the interrogation room. "Should we head to your place now?"

Pandora nodded as he stated exactly what she had been thinking. Had this man caught of them, it was almost too much to think about. She had always taught them though, that should anyone enter the apartment without her, that they were to hide. In most cases she suspected that they had hit the ceiling. The lucky thing about her place was that it offered 10 foot ceilings which gave the girls plenty of room to get up and out of sight.

Felix seemed surprisingly sympathetic now. Maybe this was what everyone was talking about when they suggested the law on the island was ok. Still though, she now had to take him home and introduce him to the girls. When he asked if they should head out now she hesitantly nodded. "Yes...Lets." She tried to act with renewed confidence now as she stood up.

She followed him in silence, contemplating whether or not her actions were right or not. In the end though she didn't have a choice. She had after all come this far so she needed to follow it through. Outside of the station Pandora took a second to shift back into her demonic form. Walking with only two legs was so tiresome and she had always been impressed with peoples ability to go indefinitely on two legs.

Her apartment was not at all too far from the station. Only a handful of blocks or so away. That in itself was a great thing as she had been eager to get home and make sure the kids were ok. The apartment building itself was well enough. It looked as though it had some older architecture, to it, but also like it had been recently renovated. There were 7 stories in total. Pandora was lucky that she could get the top floor.

"I hope you don't mind stairs, im on the top floor..."

As they approached the building Pandora instantly spotted several posters plastered to the front door advocating demon deportation among other things. The posters had not been there when she had left with her attacker. In a panic Pandora bolted for the door throwing it open and scaling the stairwell in no time at all. Once on the top floor she pushed open the door to her apartment to be greeted by Phaedra. The other girls were sleeping in hammocks by the windows.

She threw her arms around the young girl and waited for Felix to catch up.

Felix was quiet as they walk, observing the happenings around them. He made sure to wear an MCPD jacket, and though there were protesters looking ready to sock Pandora at the slightest provocation, Felix's presence made them to think twice. That was bad. He took pictures of the protesters and Pandora's house to help her case, as well as the posters plastered on her front door, then followed her upstairs.

When he got there, he saw Pandora hug her child. Huh. She wasn't kidding... and this one looked almost like a carbon copy of her. He told them they were coming in, then stood next to them. Police were often scary to children, so Felix tried to exude a relaxing vibe as much as possible.

"Hello, little girl. My name is Detective Felix Verma of the Manta Carlos Police Department. I am looking into this case so we can send the bad man that attacked your mother to jail, so he can't hurt anyone further. Would you like to tell me what happened?"

Pandora released Phaedra and looked up to Felix as if wanting to say something herself. Instead she just looked down at her daughter and nodded, taking a step back to give her some room and let her talk.

*******************

Phaedra looked up at Felix and hesitated. Even with the nod from her mother she was still unsure of how to speak with this man. One could say that she was shy of all things. She took a deep breath, and slowly began to speak. "The man that hit mommy came in first. He banged on the door really loud and yelled so we were hiding." She was the equivalent of a seven or eight year old now, so she was luckily able to articulate well enough.

"He broke the door and came in, and when he didn't find us he went and sat in the bathroom with the lights off." She pointed to the generally unused room located next to the front door. When Mommy got home we were too scare to tell her that he was here. He hit her with that." She skittered over to the far wall and picked up the baseball bat from the floor, and brought it over to Felix. The Bat itself had a visible crack in it, that suggested that Pandora had been struck with no small force.

Phaedra sat for a moment in thought before speaking up again. "Is mommy in trouble?" She asked as she skittered over to her mom again.

*******************

Pandora Held her daughter for a moment before looking up at Felix. "The others are asleep... I'd prefer not to wake them if that's alright" As she spoke she pointed to the spider lings resting in their Hammocks by the windows.

As soon as she started speaking, Felix pulled out a tape recorder to officially log the situation. He stayed standing and followed Phaedra around the room to inspect the scene, writing things down on his notepad. He checked the door for damages, took pictures of it. He then took pictures of the assault weapon from where it was at, then took it with his gloves on.

When she was done, Felix gave her a soft smile and shook his head. "Thank you for your cooperation, little one. You've been very good and brave today. You gave us enough proof so your mommy won't be in trouble. I'll have to take her back to the police station now, but I promise we'll let her out soon. We just need to do the paperwork."

He turned his attention back to Pandora, resting the weight of the weapon on his shoulder, careful not to break it. "I won't wake them up. I believe we're done here. I'll give this bat over to forensics so they can match the man's DNA, but for the most part, this is sufficient enough evidence in your favor that we can get you out as soon as we get there." He smiled at her, pride in his eyes. "You subdued him when you could've killed him. And that's an impressive feat in my eyes. I'm proud of you, Pandora."

He tilted his head to the door so they could head back to the police station to let her off. "Let's go?"
