"Let your words ring true, or my eyes will pierce your soul."
Name: Christopher King
Age: 21
Birthday: August 18th
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Category: Citizen
Career: Member of Mortal Coil (organization)
Appearance: The first word most would use to describe Christopher is intimidating. He stands at 5'10'', and his black hair is formed into a simple buzz cut. He has fair skin, and his muscled body is usually the most prominent feature about him as his outfits almost always consist of tank tops and jeans. However, upon closer inspection, is strange eyes will become more apparent. They are usually red, but they can change to any color at any random time. Those eyes enhance the menacing vibe he gives off.
Personality: In the past, Christopher was a firm believer that lies were a terrible thing. He was convinced that they only do more bad than good and are just used to hurt people. Over the years, he tried to widen his views on lies, and decided that they could be fine for the right reasons. He'd much rather greatly twist the truth, but will lie if it's completely necessary, as it literally pains his soul to do so.
Christopher despises people that lie, unless he feels that the reason they do so is good enough. It's even worse when the person lies without even thinking about it, or when the person lies just for the hell of it. Sometimes, he even goes as far as to lash out at people that are lying excessively. It's one of the only instances in which he can lose his cool.
Christopher greatly values camaraderie, especially among the other members of Mortal Coil. He feels that one of the greatest things to have in this world is caring and trusting friends. He also has a strong sense of respect for those that are unconditionally kind, as he feels that it is something he can never achieve.
Christopher's personality depends on the situation. When talking about business matters, he takes on a no nonsense attitude. When chilling with friends, he's relaxed and willing to smile and make jokes more. Overall, he has a calm demeanor in all situations, even when things seem bleak.
Christopher is a very analytical person. With the help of his extremely observant eyes, he will analyze any and all situations, even when it's not a combat one. He's a master at reading facial expressions, finding weaknesses in enemy defenses, finding the least dangerous path, et cetera.

Special Abilities: N/A
Powers:
- Gaze of Revealing (Power 1): Christopher's eyes reveal things many others wouldn't be able to see. One look at someone can tell him whether or not that person is lying. His eyes are capable of seeing past concealing magics (such as Mist), seeing invisible people, spotting weaknesses in defenses, picking out the best route from Point A to Point B, and anything else that involves seeing things that others can't. However, if he uses his eyes too much for anything other than something simple (such as spotting lies, weaknesses in defenses, and routes), his revealing vision will begin to fade, as well as his normal vision. If he has five people coming at him, each having something noticeably different about them that he would usually pick out with ease, he runs the risk of being overwhelmed. He'd have to rest his eyes before continuing on.
- Demonic Traits (Power 2):
- Summoning: Christopher can summon anything he marks with a certain spell. It takes thirty seconds for him to cast the spell on an object, and then another minute for him to be able to summon it. The object can't be anything that he can't hold in his hand, and he can only mark four at a time. After summoning an object, he has to wait five minutes before he can mark another
- Enhanced Strength: Although it's no super strength, Christopher is stronger than your average man. This means that he can run faster, and, of course, hit harder.
- Chris is skilled in many different martial arts
- Chris's main weapons consist of swords and guns, but he has a pretty large arsenal at his disposal
- Chris has vast knowledge on many different subjects, especially things concerning the mythical and supernatural
- Chris is lacking in terms of defense
- It's harder, but not impossible, for Chris to tell when people are messing with his mind
- Chris's Gaze of Revealing does not work through screens. However, he's still good at finding tells.
Growing up, Chris lived in a very strange place. It was basically the Manta Carlos Islands on a much, much smaller scale. And it wasn't an island. It was a relatively small underground city, which contained a variety of people and creatures. The problem was that Chris was a normal human. His parents were humans as well, but their powers had manifested at a young age. Chris didn't have any abilities, and he showed no signs of having abilities.
In that community, the only advantage that being a normal human provided was going to normal school, but Chris wanted more. He wanted to be able to do the things the people around him could do. It didn't help that he noticed the peoples' whispers as he wandered the streets of the underground city. They claimed to be supportive, but he wasn't convinced.
One day, when coming home from school, Chris encountered a strange man. It wasn't that he looked weird or anything, but he had a menacing air about him. He offered something that Chris couldn't possibly refuse: the ability to see whether people were telling the truth. Chris, being the naive child that he was, accepted without even hearing the conditions. The man granted the boy's wish, while giving him a few more abilities free of charge.
The man disappeared, and from then on, Chris could tell when people were lying. However, he quickly came to ind that it was more of a curse than a blessing. He now knew for a act that the people that had claimed to be supporting him were lying, and it cut deeper than he thought it would. Even his own parents were lying to him, and although he knew they had no malicious intentions, that's what hurt him the most.
So, Chris figured that with his newfound abilities, he would be able to survive by himself quite easily. He left the city with the thoughts of those lying to him fueling his motives. However, over the years, he found that everybody lied for one reason or another. With his innate need to tell the truth, he always pushed people away.
Years down the line, Chris met Sarah, the creator of Mortal Coil. There was no one else in the group at the time. From the conversations they had, Chris could tell that she lied about a lot of things. However, she didn't deny that she was lying, and he found that she had good reasons: to protect herself. She had been part of some criminal dealings, and couldn't give all of her info to just any random person. Chris understood that, as he himself had participated in his fair share of illegal activities to survive.
From then on, Chris viewed lying in a different light. They were somewhat acceptable if done for the right reasons, but he still preferred for lies not to be told at all. Nonetheless, he became the second member of Mortal Coil, traveling to the Manta Carlos Island after hearing of Sarah's safe arrival there.

Additional Information:
- Although it's not mentioned in the bio, the creature that gave Chris is powers was a demon. Chris figured that out later on down the line, as he realized that the feeling he experienced from being in the demon's presence was what was described to him in bedtime stories as a kid.
