Havoc was nothing if not utilitarian. While others might have spent hours debating over what to purchase for their secret santa recipient, Havoc had not. Havoc had simply looked over the suggestions, picked up the first thing that came to mind, and called it a day. He hadn't even wrapped it - he'd just had the store put it in a gift bag with some paper on top.

At least he had the courtesy to be on time, waiting in the courtyard for his partner to show up. He had no idea who it was, but if other-James showed up again, Havoc was going to have to have words with the organizers.

Ah Christmas, a wonderful time of year, he was trying to keep his spirits high, even with a lot of the more recent events in his life being rather negative. So he signed for secret santa, a chance to give some gifts, maybe put a smile on someone's face, a bit of joy in their lives, make them feel a bit of Christmas cheer.

So the young half demon had gotten the gifts, wrapped them nicely in the shinny wrapping paper, they looked nearly perfect with a bow and everything. Yes, he intended the gift exchange to be perfect, both for his partner, and maybe to lift his own spirits.

So he lifted into the sky, his wings carrying him through the air, like a demonic Santa, hoping to bring cheer. A hum came from him, a Christmas song, to match the smile on his face. Soon he came to the courtyard, spotting who he believed to be his partner, so he glided down, his feet landing in the snow.

His partner looked to be a stern man, a scar on one cheek, Aaron flashed him a bright smile at him. "Hello, I'm Aaron," he had the gifts in a bag held at his side, ready for the giving.

Havoc wasn't sure if he was ever going to get used to how people just flew around. Tactically, it was a nightmare. People had a hard enough time remembering to look up when they were in buildings with second stories, but out in the open? No one looked up. They'd sweep in three hundred and sixty degrees and completely forget there was a third dimension, like they were playing some kind of tactical video game and now actually moving around in real life.

On Manta Carlos it was infinitely worse. just because the sky was clear and you couldn't see anything didn't mean anything.

His partner didn't know him, and thus wouldn't have known that Havoc was more tense than usual, but he likely didn't look friendly either way. He was completely inexpressive, obviously military, and looked a lot like he was about to try and get Aaron's ID at a checkpoint as the boy settled down in front of him.

"Havoc," Havoc said, as if that was a proper introduction. The smile did little to convince him of anything, and Havoc held the bag out for him to take. It was heavy, with several large books inside. The books themselves varied. A few were on demons, and a few were cookbooks, and absolutely none of them were related to music because Havoc was about as musical as a rock.

"I picked things from your list," Havoc confirmed with a nod, just in case it wasn't obvious.
