Private Finished Checking Up

"Well..." Celeste said, pleasantly surprised and shocked momentarily by Noah's demonstration. It had not, in fact, been noted in his file that he was that proficient in barier magic. "I guess you aren't a beginner at all," she laughed.

Then when she heard his reasons, she nodded solemnly. "That type of magic is much more complex," she said. "And the receiver may experience some discomfort," she warned him. Healing magic was not always like shown in the movies - painless and fast.

"That said, I'd be willing to help you," she offered, knowing how bad burns could be. Her boyfriend had a bad burn on his chest, and while he was okay, or seemingly accepting of it, she could easily guess that a burn on the face was not something so easily hidden or shrugged off.

"Yes," Celeste nodded solemnly, "Each body reacts differently, of course. But sometimes when you regenerate tissue or a limb it pulls the tissue, or there is a tight feeling... or dare I say a burning sensation," she explained with a tiny wince.

'Hmm..." Celeste said as she ran down his file, taking in the change of guardianship and glancing up at him. She had met Ivanka at a social gathering, made plans even to have coffee, and was now quite surprised to see that she had adopted Noah.

"There's nothing more," she admitted, "Well, nothing official," she added in a friendly tone. "I did actually the very recent the change in your guardianship," she confessed. "And you see, I have three adopted children of my own actually, and I know adjusting can be hard sometimes - for both of you and your new parent - and, well, if you ever need to talk, my door is open," Celeste concluded politely, quickly putting out the offer that if he ever needed someone to talk to she was available.

"And now, back to the magic tutoring, is next Tuesday alright with you, say about 5 pm?" she suggested very deftly turning it back to something less personal.

"Great," Celeste said then when Noah appeared to be okay with the date and time in question. "Then if you want, we can meet outside the food lab on the second floor, and go from thee," she said, thinking that her classroom gave them ample space to practice and go over theory.

"If that is all then, I guess I can let you go, Noah. I imagine you have things to attend to too," she said with a smile, knowing most students preferred being anywhere else than cooped up with a teacher.
