Ashton had been locked away for 5 years, and during that time he had become very uninformed.
Oh it was downright criminal and ridiculous how he was so far behind and jaded to the world around him now as he sat in the library. Across the table was a massive spread of books, magazines and other helpful education tools. Ashton really wished there was an easier way to go over everything from the last 5 years but sadly it wasn't just that. He had to re learn all of the material he had missed since then. It really sucked. He was 16, but still in the 10th grade. How embarrassing.
But it couldn't be helped.
Either way, he was gonna suck it up and simply do his homework and study the world. But he wished he had some form of company at least. Even when he was in the Vatican's underground possession program, he had been surrounded by people and some days it was okay and enjoyable. But other days, like today, he felt more alone then he ever did. He hadn't really interacted with many people since he escaped. Just the people at the hospital, the Academy recruiter, and the administration of the school. It's why he sat in the library right now actually. He was also given an assignment to write down his thoughts and feelings in a journal of some kind, or an online blog too would help.
With a sigh, Ashton closed one of the books in front of him then put it back on the shelf behind himself. He'd been studying all morning, so why not take a break. After all...it was lunch time.
