Cris noticed the idle tapping of his fingers. A hard habit to get out of when she was used to looking for any and all signs that might lead her in the direction she needed. But this wasn't that and she had to keep telling herself that.
"I don't assume anything. I operate off of facts Mr. Owens. I stand by what I said."
Hands crossed over her lap and eyes watched him as he spoke and motioned to her chair. So technology was his thing. Then yes, she was more his speed than he realized from first impressions, even though she still dipped into magic herself.
"Magic and technology are two sides of the same coin. They both serve a purpose to the user. We attach to one that is more familiar, but that doesn't mean the other doesn't have its uses. I like technology because it's something that anyone can figure out. Magic there has to be something present in you to begin with. That's not to say I don't use magic myself."
