Species: Fallen Angel

Class: High School
Grade: 11th
Appearance Description:
⦁ Light green eyes
⦁ Short, fluffy, light blonde hair
⦁ Pale skin
⦁ Medium-sized wings. White feathers with blackened tips.
⦁ Enjoys wearing warm clothing (cardigans especially!) and bright colored clothing.
⦁ Has a pair of very small white wings coming out of the back of his head. They curl forwards around to the front of his head.
⦁ Has a medium-sized scar on the right side of his face that extends towards his eye.
⦁ Due to being sickly, he is quite light and thin.
⦁ He is 5'6".
Personality Description:
POSITIVE:
⦁ +Empathetic+
Caelum is always thinking about how others are feeling. He could be considered an empath, though his attunement with his own and others' emotions are not paranormal. He's always had a knack for reading people's moods. He takes people's feelings on as if they are his own, and his mood tends to be influenced by the emotional aura given off by those around him.
⦁ +Knowledgeable+
Though he isn't physically strong, his mind is very active and he loves to learn new things, as long as those things aren't school related. Being alive for a long time usually leads to one accumulating a vast amount of knowledge, but as society is always evolving, there's definitely no shortage of new things happening all over the world daily. Caelum has developed a liking for watching the news and patrolling social media for new information. He wouldn't be considered book smart for sure, but as far as the goings of life and the outside world, he is far from stupid.
⦁ +Gentle Presence+
Both in appearance and personality, Caelum is seemingly gentle. The type of gentle person that people feel comfortable letting their guard down around. While he is not entirely gentle himself, he is soft spoken and angelic (well, as angelic as a fallen angel can be). Overall, he gives off a calming aura to those around him.
NEUTRAL:
⦁ =Ditzy=
Caelum can be something of an airhead. He's not exactly stupid, but he is often in his own world with his head up in the clouds, oblivious to things happening around him. Someone could be talking to him and he would immediately blank out, his mind wondering off wherever it feels like. It even gets to the point where he'll be so zoned out that he'll walk into something or fall down the stairs. He is occasionally referred to as "the smartest idiot around". Though, he's not as ditzy as he makes himself out to be.
⦁ =Self-love=
To say Caelum thinks highly of himself is an understatement. From an untrained eye, it might look like he has a narcissistic complex, though this is not true. Caelum is incredibly in-tune with himself and his emotions, and considers himself to be a very good person. He is proud of most things he has done in his life, and hopes to contribute more to society. Despite his confidence, he is capable of realizing when he is in the wrong, and is able to admit to mistakes he has made.
⦁ =Clingy=
Caelum is a pretty lonely person and doesn't have many friends, due to spending most of his time in the hospital. He hasn't gotten much of a chance to interact with his peers and attempt to form relationships with them. He is extremely attached to those he does know, and is scared of losing them.
⦁ =Well-organized=
Planning things is Caelum's specialty, regardless of his forgetfulness. Ever since he was very young, Caelum has enjoyed organizing projects and, well, most things that require organization! He has an eye for detail, and very rarely leaves something he considers important enough unfinished. Despite this, he never seems to remember to do his homework...
⦁ =Quiet=
Along with having very little friends comes having very little people to talk to. Caelum spends most of his time in silence, only speaking when spoken to when approached by strangers or people he doesn't consider himself close to. His speaking voice is also pretty quiet.
NEGATIVE:
⦁ -Forgetful-
Caelum barely pays attention to anything, and as a result ends up forgetting everything he's told. Don't ask him to watch the stove, or your house will end up in flames. He has gotten himself in some major trouble because of his forgetfulness, often not passing in homework, forgetting doctors appointments, and even forgetting to eat.
⦁ -Flawed Justness-
Caelum believes in his own sense of justice over anyone else's. The law? No longer important to him. The police? Screw them. Caelum will take care of things in his own way, and the outcome for the opposing party most likely won't be very good. After being cast away by God, there's no way he would respect any sort of law/authority figure.
⦁ -Two-faced-
While Caelum's kindness to others is genuine, sometimes when certain topics are brought up, his entire personality changes. The warm smile he always wears on his face disappears, and the cold, spiteful side of him is shown. Caelum desperately tries to keep this part of him hidden, but it's not something he can really control. It's as if there's another completely different person inside of him.
⦁ -Enmity-
Caelum can and probably will hold a grudge forever. Even if all is "forgiven", he will not forget. He will remember, and hold that resentment within him until he dies.
Species Abilities:
⦁ Flight: Though a fallen angel's wings are usually stripped from their owner, the fallen angel in question still retains the ability to fly. In Caelum's case, even if he still has his wings, he isn't able to fly too long. His sin was "far too great" for him to be allowed full use of flight. Being as sick and physically weak as he is also has a play in this.
Powers:
⦁ Foresight: The ability to see future events. Though, Caelum isn't exactly able to control this ability. It kinda just happens whenever it wants to. Sometimes he'll see useless things like someone going shopping, but other times he'll see big, important things like a huge event being announced or a murder. Regardless of the result, this ability never works in his favor. Not only is he not allowed to interfere with the timeline and change the future, as instructed to him by the Archangels of On High, but a large amount of energy is ripped from him every time the ability activates, which has left him irreparably weak. If not for his regeneration ability, he would be dead by now.
⦁ Hyper-Regenerative Healing: Self-explanatory. As an ability that is hereditary in the Vela family, Caelum is able to recover from physical and mental injuries faster than the average angel. It is the perfect counter-balance for his foresight.
Warning: mentions of harassment and murder below!
Biography: The daily life of an angel is a busy and stressful one, or at least it was where Caelum came from. On High had always been a very bustling place. A massive city above the clouds requires a lot of maintenance and engineers to keep it up and running, after all. Despite this, Caelum never had much to do or worry about while growing up other than taking care of himself. Along with being of the Vela family- a well-known line of angels blessed with a more potent healing ability- he was frequently bed bound and rarely able to leave his home. Even as a child he was weaker than the average angel, all thanks to his “unique gift”. Some gift it was. Who the hell calls an energy-draining life-destroying curse a gift? Sure, he could see the future, but who would want to see the future if it meant their life was guaranteed to be bound to a bed and shorter than most? And what good was it if he couldn’t even change the things he sees? He was forbidden from changing the future. The consequences of doing so would be far greater than his young mind could comprehend.
Caelum never got the opportunity to have a normal childhood, make friends, go play outside… The only things he had were his siblings, parents, tutors, and a notebook.
Years pass and Caelum has grown physically stronger, finally able to say goodbye to his life as a shut-in and visit the world outside his home. Now a teenaged angel, he is able to go to a normal school, makes friends, and live the life he’s always wanted to live. Life was blissful for Caelum for the first time.
Things were all well and good for the longest time. The longer he was exposed to the world, however, Caelum came to realize that society wasn’t as bright and happy as he grew up thinking it was. It was full of corruption, and no one did a single thing about it. No, it was more that no one could do anything about it. Those who sought change were quickly tossed aside. Some even disappeared. People in positions of power abused their privilege, doing more evil than good. Even in a city of angels, where bad deeds are supposed to go unpunished, everything worked in favor of the corrupt. There was nothing Caelum could do, so he chose to ignore it like everyone else. It wasn’t his problem anyway.
Until it became his problem.
One of his sisters, Evangeline, would frequently come home after dark, way later than she was originally supposed to be home by. She never looked happy during these times. Sometimes she would even come home crying. Evangeline would often confide in Caelum about problems she was too nervous to tell their parents about, and this was one of those problems. She had this “friend”, an older man who worked for the police, who would always drag her out to do things, even when she didn’t want to. He would never let her leave when she wanted to and would threaten her when if she insisted on going home. He’d even bring his police buddies out sometimes, and the entire experience was horrible and uncomfortable. She couldn’t hope to report him to the police. He was the police. Most of them supported what he was doing. Evangeline was a sweet girl and was kind to everyone she comes across, even when she’s met with cruel words. She never did anything wrong, so why did this have to happen to her? Caelum was furious. Who’s to say that Evangeline was the only girl he was harassing? What if there were others? People like that don’t just act that way to a single person. There had to be others, too scared to speak up. To Caelum, his family was the most important thing. When they were hurting, he was hurting. That’s why he couldn’t just sit and watch his sister be treated this way. For the sake of his sister and all the other women in the city, something would be done about this man.
And for once, his “gift” worked in his favor.
A brief vision was shown to him. Though brief, it told him all he needed to know. A date. Just a few days in the future. A night where Evangeline wasn’t in the man’s presence. A night where he was alone at his home. Perfect. Caelum knew that he was forbidden from using his powers to change the future, but surely the future he would create would be better than whatever future that was set in stone. He had to do this. He had to. But it would take careful planning.
Everything was arranged. The day he would execute his plan finally arrived. It was time. While Evangelion wasn’t looking, Caelum snagged her phone and set up a date with the man at a nearby park that overlooked the clouds. It was a nice, peaceful area. Told him to meet her there after he got out of work so they could get to know each other better. He ate it all up. For this moment, Caelum had prepared a duffel bag in advance. A bag filled with water bottles, rags, a towel, and a kitchen knife. When the time came, he gathered up his things, triple checked to make sure he didn’t forget anything, and set out towards the park.
He waited. Anxiously, he sat behind a tree, further masked by shrubbery and shadows, waiting for his “date” to arrive. He couldn’t mess this up. He wouldn’t mess this up. Caelum was too quick, too smart to fail. This would work. There’s no way it wouldn’t.
Footsteps approached. Caelum quietly peeked over the bushes to see a tall, muscular man making his way towards the area. It was around the time the man was supposed to meet Evangeline, so that must be him. As he got closer, he made a beeline towards a nearby bench, facing towards the view of the clouds below the city. He sat and waited, checking his phone once or twice. Quietly and slowly, Caelum unzipped the duffel bag, slipping his hand in and pulling out the knife and towel. He stood, cover his front with the towel, and gently made his way towards the bench.
He stabbed five times. His chest, the throat, the chest twice more, and then the top of his head, each stab with more force than the last. He went to stab again, but the man was sitting completely limp on the bench, blood draining out of every wound he received. Caelum froze, the murder-induced adrenaline rush ending abruptly. It felt like he was frozen in place for minutes, hours, days. He couldn’t believe he just did that. He couldn’t believe he just killed a guy, a total stranger, a trained police officer. It felt like a dream, but it was too real for it to be a dream. The knife fell from his hand and clanged to the ground, snapping him back to reality. He had to clean up, and he couldn’t waste any time on that. He charged back to his hiding place and retrieved his bag.
The cleaning process was simple enough:
1.) Break the wings, just in case he isn’t dead.
2.) Take his phone out of his pocket.
3.) Toss the body over the railing.
4.) Rinse the blood away with the water bottles.
5.) Wipe up any leftover blood, off of Caelum’s own face and off of the ground.
6.) Wipe off the knife.
7.) Toss the rags and towel over the railing.
Once that was all taken of, Caelum went into the man’s phone and deleted the messages he sent from Evangeline’s phone, as well as the man’s replies. He dropped the phone to the pavement, stomped on it a few times, and kicked the smashed pieces overboard to fall to the world below. He was finally finished. He packed up everything and went home, immediately going to bed and sleeping like a baby.
About two weeks later, after things settled down and Evangeline’s life started to change for the better, Caelum woke up to something unexpected. A representative of God, an Archangel, yanking him from his bed. The Archangel came personally… to seize Caelum.
He had been found out.
But how? What did he miss? He cleaned everything. He didn’t leave a single thing behind. What went wrong?
Security cameras. Several of them. They caught him from every angle. Had he covered his face, it would have been the perfect murder. He had not only committed murder, but he also changed the future and used his ability for evil. His punishment was decided. An angel’s worst nightmare.
The Fallen Angel’s curse. Banishment to the world below.
Caelum was unsure where he would land. It would be directly below On High, for sure, he had no idea what awaited him was the cruel, unforgiving waves of the ocean. The only thing he could see below him was water. Unable to beat his wings and stop himself from falling, he had no choice but to brace for impact. He lost consciousness the moment he hit the water. He never expected to wake up at all after that, but he did. He awoke to a soft yet uncomfortable material on his face. Sand. He had drifted on to a beach. Caelum had never seen one in person, but he had seen pictures online and in books.
Where did he end up though? Did he end up in an uncharted island in the middle of the ocean? Oh great. He'd rather the fall to the water kill him than the idea of starving to death. Rather than jumping to conclusions, Caelum shakily rose to his feet and walked along the shore.
After walking for what felt like hours, he saw something not too far off in the distance. A concrete structure and... boats? As he got closer, he could make out letters on the hull of the nearest boat.
Manta Carlos. He had ended up in the remote islands of Manta Carlos.

⦁ He has 3 older sisters who he was very close to. Their names are Ariel, Micaiah, and Evangeline.
⦁ He is aromantic bisexual.
