Appearance Description: In his inactive state, it appears to be an ornate gold and silver writing pendant. Typically with runes running around his trim. Regardless he is always within proximity of his master, if not on his person at all times.
Personality Description: He's a weapon first who only speaks with his current master who is his main priority above all else. When his master is insulted in any way he is almost always ready to be drawn or engage in a duel of some kind. Cadfael is famously widely known within his court for his vulgarity. He is also a jealous sort, who gets upset if Alwyn utilizes other weapons. Most times he's scolded by Alwyn. When he is drawn he often has obscenities etched into him in fae runes. As a weapon he is confident in his abilities. He will kill anyone who tries to handle him without his master's permission.
Powers: A knight's closest companion is his blade. For Alwyn, Cadfael has the uncanny ability shapeshift into any melee weapon his master desires. He is unable to change into ranged weapons such as guns. He also cannot become exceedingly large as a weapon. Cadfael can also guide the hand of his wielder to fight more proficiently and even offers tactical advice even in the heat of battle. Regardless of his form, he remains light for Alwyn. He cannot be turned against his master, and will attack anyone who attempts to touch him without his master's permission by shifting and stabbing whoever put their hand on him. And even in those cases Alwyn has to give very specific parameters on what this person can do with him.
Biography: He was gifted to Alwyn to be his weapon as others found his vulgar nature rather distasteful. Alwyn found Cad's personality refreshing and was taken with him immediately. His wisdom even helped the young Alwyn advance in his knightly training at a quicker rate than was anticipated. To this day he stays at his master's side as his most loyal servant.
