Appearance Description: Born from the union of an ancient pagan god and a human woman, Bradley retains traits from both thus making him hardly passable as human. He’s fully able to extend and retract his dorsal and arm fins as well as his claws, his shark like tail is impossible to hide. Aside from that, he sports several rows of razor sharp teeth and his eyes are yellow with black sclera. He also stands at 6'3" and generally wears suits and such except when he’s working in his shop where he opts for more functional attire(butcher’s gear).
Personality Description: Generally speaking he’s the charming friendly type, in spite of radiating a mildly predatory aura. Of course when you’re more or less genetically inclined to eating people you have to be able to use what you can to lure in prey. Yes, Brad is a people eater. He’s not an active hunter, as he’s realized there’s no real need for such things. He owns a specialty shop for beings with similar dietary needs to himself. He tends to try to educate people who may find this profession morally objectionable and often times treats people with respect. His predatory side in contrast is something truly fierce. Brad can be a relentless tracker, and has enough skills under his belt that he could be an excellent tracker. He tends to keep this side of him to a minimum as he can get savage if prodded enough and he’d rather not have a full relapse.
Powers:
Water manipulation: Brad’s status as a sea dwelling demigod allows for him to have command over water. To be specific he can manipulate water tension to make it possible for him to walk or skate across the water. Beneath the water it’s a much more dangerous as he can generate currents to accelerate his own swimming or solidify water around a target, thereby trapping them and forcing them to drown. This does take a degree of concentration and he only focuses on one target at a time when doing this, he can hold a single sphere for around five minutes before he starts to strain himself. He also can’t leave from his place when holding a sphere. Brad can also stir up powerful whirlpools with this ability by swimming in spiraling patterns at high speeds. The whirlpools usually disperse within a few seconds of their formations and serve to disorient people. Rainy and wet weather allows him to increase his speed on land by triggering currents in puddles and on wet pavement, allowing him to skate around.
Species Abilities: Being the half human son of a sea god, Brad’s built to live on both land and in the water. He’s functionally immortal and can potentially live indefinitely if he’s not killed before then. He can breathe on land and in water he opens up gills located on his neck to breathe. He recovers from wounds faster than average, a broken bone can take a few days to mend fully, smaller wounds such as cuts only taking several minutes to hours depending on their severity. And even limbs that are completely lost(not reattached) can take several weeks to mend. He’s also superhumanly strong thanks to his body being capable of surviving under crushing ocean depths. He can lift a fully loaded tractor trailer with relative ease. His bite strength is also impressive as he can easily bite through steel. His senses are also on par with underwater predators. His sense of smell and hearing can almost give him a full picture of what’s happening around him without him even needing to see. While his vision does allow for night vision he doesn’t have eagle vision, as such when he’s in the dark he relies more on the previous two senses.
Biography: Much of Brad’s life was spent in relative isolation. Being the son of the ancient sea god, Dagon and a human meant that any signs that he was abnormal weren’t exactly easily brushed off by the outside world. His father after his falling out with human worshipers returned to the sea and simply ruled a large empire, returning to the surface in the form of a man periodically to see what had become of the world on the surface. It was during one of these trips that he met Brad’s mother. The two fell in love and eventually his mother became pregnant with her son, Bradley. Who was born with body parts that had doctors raising eyebrows and the mother looking to seek out his father.
His father, being the busy overlord he was didn’t actually visit until Bradley was a toddler. His mother was constantly moving as well as dealing with a more unexpected problem in his sons tendency to bite other people in the off chance he was out with her. Until he made his first predatory kill at the age of ten. This incident terrified his mother who not knowing what to do in that situation called on his father once more. His father wisely suggested moving to Manta Carlos as they were better equipped to deal with such beings as well as allow him to be around children his own age with somewhat similar backgrounds.
Brad spent his teen and college years attending Starlight Academy, all the while learning how to deal with his human feeding tendencies. He couldn’t simply eat people solely because they regenerated, there had to be a simpler way. It was at this point he realized he could simply work into the world’s organ donation systems. Legally purchasing organs and cadavers for consumption. By the time he graduated from college he already had his shop in the workings, eventually opening up the specialty shop which serves to aid any man eaters looking for a way to live peacefully on the island without resorting to crimes.
