Ok so, wings were as new on her as they were on Anatolii. That was good, he hadn't forgotten that. He was going to count that as a win. He watched her test her win, waiting to see if he needed to step in and help her stabilize. The errant thought occurred to him that she was actually rather attractive when she wasn't all scrunched up in the chair. Wait. He ran his hand over his short hair, why did he think that? He had just met Anna, he had no business worrying about her general appearance. Maybe he was just a little overloaded, a lot had just happened. He took a deep breath and tried to move past it.

"So, they aren't vestigial, that's good. Uh, like there's a lot of questions I want to ask but..." Anatolii sighed, "my brain is a little fried from this whole experience." So, she could change people's emotions through touch and fly and was attractive. He shook his head, hoping to shake out the attraction. "Uh, so, do we need to find you some of those blinker lights that planes have so other planes don't crash into them?"

Humor. Always useful for when he had no clue what was happening.

Anna laughed, the sound pouring from her lips in a light burble, like a little stream running through a wooded area. "I don't think I'll need lights just yet," she replied, before her face went thoughtful again. She flapped her wings again, the breeze she created felt kind of nice, especially in the summer sun.

"I think...this has something to do with me being a siren. Call it a hunch," she said. Man, it felt nice to be on her feet - well, foot, since her good one was supporting all the weight. "I was thinking about what it would be like if I had a better way to get around, like flying or something, and they just kind of appeared out of nowhere."

She beat the air with her wings a few more times, feeling them pull her up into the air a little. The toe of her good leg stayed on the ground, but she hovered for a brief time before settling back down onto her foot. "This is kind of cool," she said. "I can fly. Awesome."

"So, you think, and it happens?" Anatolii chuckled, "Go for webbed toes next, then you can live your life out as a duck." If she was able to just think about wings and they happen, her power would boil down to a more controlled version of his own. He had no control over his, things just happened. Granted, they were things that usually tried to save his life, it he still had absolutely no control over them.

He briefly wondered whether or not she was going to test the wings but that thought got sidetracked by his continued inner debate over whether or not he actually found Anna attractive or not. The 'yes she is attractive' portion of his thought process was losing out but it was a persistent line of thinking. "You'd make a pretty duck."

Anatolii's eyes went large as the words just found their way out of his mouth without his knowledge. He was confident that after this, he was going to have to avoid any and all contact with Anna out of sheer shame.

Anna stared wide-eyed back at him, trying to register what he'd just said. Did he really just say that? She burst into giggles, the laughter hurting her ribs. "Thanks. You'd make a pretty duck, too," she brought a hand up to wipe a mirthful tear from her eye. She hadn't laughed like that since the accident. Mostly because it hurt to do so. Sometimes the pain could be worth it.

"I suppose this might make getting around easier," she continued to muse once she had recovered from her laughing fit. "Except for indoors, maybe. They're kind of huge," she twisted as far as her ribs would let her without hurting herself to look at the black feathery extensions.

"I wonder...how I make them go away?" She pondered this for a moment and then focused on the idea. The same sick feeling washed over her and she felt her back heat up again, tingling as the wings folded up on themselves and seemed to pull back into her body and disappear.

Feeling a little exhausted, Anna settled back into her wheelchair. "Well. That was fascinating," she glanced up at Anatolii. "You okay there, buddy?" He looked a little...well, she couldn't really describe it. Maybe...unsettled? Something along those lines.

Well, at least she thought he'd be an attractive water fowl as well. Anatolii was still pretty sure he was going to find a very deep hole to through himself down as repercussions for making himself look like such a dolt.

"Yeah, I guess I'm okay. Just, a lot to process. You know?" He had been through some stuff just over the course of one conversation. He was glad that he wings fielded away, that would be one less thing he had to try to deal with. He was already going to end up all week trying to figure out just what possesses one to refer to someone else as a pretty duck.

"I'm glad you can get around easier now." Now Anna wouldn't need off-roading tires, she didn't need roads at all.

Anna gave him a tired smile. "It's a lot for me to process, too. We should probably call it quits for the day," she suggested. Her phone buzzed in her pocket. She checked it and blinked. "Medication time. I should probably head back to my room."

She glanced up at Anatolii again. "Thanks for your company. I'm glad that you're here. It's good to see a familiar face, you know?" Even if he didn't remember. At least one of them did. Maybe his memory would return to him once he had time to process the day.

Anna turned herself in the direction of the dorms. "I'll see you around, right? Like...don't hide from me, because I will find you, and we will hang out," it was a threat, but it was a friendly one. She turned a little to grin at him.

"Yeah, familiarity is always a nice thing, I suppose." He was certainly happy to be able to see someone who at least knew him. Maybe Anatolii would be able to dig her out of his memories. From how she described their previous interactions, then they evidently had some fun once upon a time.

He was going to have to find an extremely deep hole to throw himself down, because she was threatening to find him no matter where he went. "I will endeavor to try not to hide." He made no promises, mostly because he was still shaming himself.
