Blending in to the background[sort of]

Marisol decided that since it was so quiet, she might as well just stay in there to read, so she took her book and sat down in a chair at the table next to the one Dev was sitting at. She opened the book and leaned close to it, slightly moving her lips as she read.

Marisol jumped slightly. She'd been really intent on her book. "What the heck?" She muttered. She thought for a second. Well, they would just be going as friends, right? And he was probably expecting her to say no. It'd be fun anyway. "Sure."

"Uh. I don't know. I'll just meet you there." Marisol said, probably a little too quickly. It would be way too much like a date if he came and got her.

Marisol nodded. "Um. Okay. I'd better go now. Bye." She turned and started to leave. Then she turned back. "Ah. You wanna go get dinner or something?" She said before she could stop herself. What in the world? She was actually being NICE to someone? I'm just being friendly. I don't really think that's a crime. She told herself.
