Haru marched through the chaotic streets of the city taking in the hellscape that had enveloped it. Few civilians remained on the street and those that did were just people who felt they could help in some way. She wasn't surprised to have seen Malara taking in the open chaos and freeing her wild side, but even the gentler of hearts were coming out. Nurses, Doctor, engineers, bus drivers, all shades were using their skills and talents to pacify and bring order back to the monster flooded island. That was exactly what Haru planned to do, well at least her company. Not far behind her twelve other people, most of them Praxian and a few other humanoid creatures. All of them were wearing Balaclavas and him standard body gear of a BlackThorn armed guards and the red flower patch on their shoulders. She was dressed the same through her shoulder had a golden symbol of the company logo on it.

The police radio back at the ballroom had mentioned a struggle going on at the hospital and she saw the opportunity to clear another building before going back to HQ for a restock of munitions and fresh food. The men with her had just come from the base and were fairly ready to put in some work for their city. Prior to coming this way herself, she had sent 12 other men toward the are in the hopes of being able to help the police. Armed people walking the street looking to be "heroes" could seem bad to a government agency trying to keep the peace but BlackThorn prided itself on professionalism and was licensed for jobs like this.

"Up there." A guard behind her said.

The large hospital building up the road had shot ringing out of it and the flash of red and blue lights from police cars and Swat trucks. A cordon was formed by police officers and vehicles around the building and Haru could see a few of her guards resting toward the back end of the barricade, reloading their weapons. She let out a large sigh of relief and waved for the people behind her to jump into a faster jog toward the area.

When they finally reached she could finally begin to make out the full grasp of the situation.Constant roars and snarls could be heard coming from the second floor and above in the large building and when they finally made it to the police lines a body was thrown out the window quite forcefully by something, as it made a deep dent into a car as it landed.

"Well, things sure seem fun in there," she said greeting her officer and walking toward the nearest ranking police officer to offer her services.

It was Ali's day off, and so she wasn't immediately able to respond to the chaos. She wasn't even aware of the attacks until she got jumped back at their apartment. Once she had taken care of her attackers, she went into the scanner to monitor the airwaves of what was happening. Something just didn't add up to her. That attack didn't seem like it was an isolated case. Sure enough, she picked up chatter from police and the company she worked for. Creatures were popping out everywhere, and she got word that people were being held at the school for safety.

She armed herself, bringing two converted ammo boxes, slung on either side of her. One was hers, the other was for her sister, who she kept failing to contact. The kits had different ammo types inside. Being a hunter of the supernatural, she was privy to specialized ammunition. Handguns were the choice weapons for her and her sister. It was easy to carry around, and much lighter too.

She didn't have time to lose, and so only took two handguns and the two ammo kits then teleported herself to the school to find her sister. Unfortunately, she wasn't there, but some did offer to find her. Had some soup while she was there too. From the attack before, she got a limp from where her ankle was twisted, but this was something she could ignore. Nothing really serious. If Rosetta went to the school, at least she'd know to radio in, but Ali knew she was smart enough to do that on her own.

She scanned the airwaves once more and heard that a squad from Black Thorn was heading to the hospital. Having been there a couple of times, she quickly teleported herself over there, appearing just a few feet away from the squad. Her limp was clear, but it didn't slow her down. "What's the situation here?" Without the rest of her gear, she looked like a civilian, just wearing her jeans and a brown jacket. With the ammo boxes and the guns on her side, she might be able to get away with looking like some ammo runner.

Above, on one of the higher floors, a circular monster of muscle, tentacles, and eyes tore apart the hospital. It cried bloody murder, throwing one of the many beds out an already gaping hole in the wall. It gave another distressed wail before flailing its tentacles around in an attempt to create more space for itself.

Haru gave a pleased smile seeing Ali show up randomly. It wasn't her day to work but she had hoped the woman would get up in the call of duty. She opened her mouth to give her a basic rundown of the situation they were facing presently when another object flew far from the building in a projectile motion toward the cars below. Haru was just about to be thankful it wasn't another person when the bed smacked into an officer.

The flying bed wasn't the only thing coming towards the streets. Debris was in freefall to the area's around the breach the tentacled monster was making. An annoyed sigh left her mouth as she was hoping the damage to such an important building could be minimalized, but instead, it seemed things would get messy.

"Well besides from the giant tentacle monster we have other skirmishes going on in the city and a few in the forest. Intelligence can put you up to date after, for now." Haru looked back up to the fleshy muscle wailing into the night air. "For now we deal with clearing the hospital, those meds could be useful at the school."

Haru checked her gun one more time before beginning to jog into the hospital ground floor.

"So these things are everywhere." Part of her hoped that this wasn't the case, but of course, Murphy's law was always in motion. Aliasse looked at the monster but couldn't tell what it was specifically. If it was a demon, shrine salt bullets would make quick work of it. And if not, the salt released would be quite the irritant. That is, if it bled.

She opened the one of the kits and swapped out her magazines with practiced precision, the movement not even taking a second from opening the kit to the moment Aliasse cocked the gun. "Alright, let's take care of these creatures."

Upstairs, the monster was making soft, sad sounds as it drifted from one place to another. The beast had settled into a destroyed room with enough space to fit its mass, though only barely. It mewled and threw its tentacles about to destroy more walls and create more space.

As the two came up the stairs, it screed at them but made no move to attack.

Haru peeked from around the exit of the staircase into the area where the mass rested itself, still screeching like a mad man. Haru had seen some pretty weird things in her day and this one didn't seem to be any more or less strange then she could think up from her last occasion with a hostile monster. Granted that person was a citizen and it was a small dispute over who was in line first.

Haru placed one hand on the wall and activated her powers to scan the building for other surprises that may wait in the hall. If it was clear that nothing would pounce on her she would relay that message back to Ali and the other operatives behind her.

Haru leaned back into the stairwell

"Fan out slowly and be careful with your surroundings."

She quickly checked her gun one more time

"Normally a warning shot helps but in this case..."

Haru leaned out one more time and shot a singular bullet at the mass, aiming for whatever she could assume was the face.

Aliasse took position by a hole in the wall a little further down the hall. This creature, or its fellows, really did some damage here. Knowing what types of magic a number of people here possessed, Ali wouldn't be surprised if all it took to fix this hole was a wave of a hand or a sprinkle of something like holy water.

She heard Haru shoot, and she was aiming a shot herself, but she wanted to see how the creature reacted first. Admittedly, she wanted to see if this creature wasn't "misunderstood" before choosing to fire or not.

All her hunter instincts told her to do it, but another part of her wanted to make sure she wasn't shooting a citizen who was unfortunate enough to be caught up in this, because holy shit, what passes as a citizen on this island was... well, anything. It could be a literal spawn of Satan and C'thulu and she'd probably see the result in the academy's uniform. "How's it looking?"

The bullet struck right into the creature's massive, partially hidden eye and it bellowed in a painful wail, sweeping it's tentacles out in a full arc to hide anyone or anything nearby.

Once it had done this, it turned (presumably) its back on the group and seemed to bow over something in the corner of the room. From the corner came a small mewling sound. Something of a low wail, like a baby's cry.

Haru noticed the mewling noise, watching one of her guys fly down the hall toward Ali. She saw some movement of the body and assumed that the person was healthy enough to avoid any more swipes of aggression toward them.

"There's small crying behind it....don't go any closer though."

Haru looked at the knocked over staircase door that had been assaulted by the earlier tendrils. Haru knew the risk of firing a kill shot right away but in this scenario, it seemed necessary to save lives. The island was filled with all types of creatures and the line between the enemy and friend was sure to thin.

All she had was the knowledge that people were being thrown out of windows and that carcasses filled all the floors below. Seeing as how the shot didn't seem to affect it as much as she expected she took her chances at a more diplomatic approach.

"Ali, what do you think? We cant go around shooting civilians by mistake....plus there's the crying."

Easing her trigger finger a bit she kept her sights on the same spot she hit before and waited for her second's opinion.
