Private Big trouble!

They had assembled most of the smaller parts were onto, the larger ones. Now to hook it all together and plugin what Ekya suspected was the power source.

Ekya smiled when Bryn gestured that he did not care if Ekya asked questions, which was fine by him. He has always been inquisitive, sometimes getting him in trouble (like now).

He looked up when Bryn explained how they came into being, "Cool! So Granny Malkin is sort of your mother. Where is she now?"

They were progressing slowly but surely. But, for a few empty slots, they were done. All they needed to do was plug in the last part. Ekya suspected those open slots were for additional features.

He sympathized with Bryn when he gestured they did not know where Granny Malkin was.

He timidly reached out and placed his hand on Bryn's, suspecting they were not the hugging type.

"I am sorry. I did not want to bring up bad memories."

He paused then added, hopefully, "maybe she got rescued. Avax Set sometimes rescues people in trouble. He rescued my mom."

Ekya blushed at Bryn's complement.

Clearing his through, he replied, "Well, I try to be. There are way too many mean people already."

Ekya picked up the last piece of the puzzle and plugged it in.

"Ok. It is now or never."

He leaned away from the laptop, just in case something bad happened, as he pushed the power button. Nothing happened, which caused Ekta to blink. Looking closer but not too close, he checked to see if everything was connected.

He sat back the spread his hands, scolding the laptop, "Come on! Really? After all this work, you are just going to sit there and do nothing? At least blowing up in our faces would be something!"

Ekya folded his arms and glared at it and commented in a flat voice, "this usually when I bring out the hammer and beat on it. But I doubt it would help any."

He looked up to Bryn apologetically, "I am sorry it did not work. It would have been neet seeing it light up."
