Fully aware of the fact that wildlife filled these woods, William landed as softly as possible. The wings on his back quickly dissipated as to not burn any trees in the surrounding area. Almost immediately, he was enveloped in the sounds of nature, drinking in the wonderful noises gratefully.

Eager to find something new, Will marched forward... and quickly realized that he had no idea what he was looking for. It had been a spontaneous plan, spurred by the book he had recently read on reptiles, but based on what he read, there would be no reptiles in this forest. He then decided to search for the second best thing: a small animal with wings and curious beady eyes.

"Bird." The word seemed to tickle his lips, and he smiled subconsciously.

As if on cue, a strange, whistling noise found its way to Will's ears. He nearly jumped, but calmed himself down upon realizing that sound was surely made by a bird. His body twisted around in search of the creature, an sure enough, there was a small bird, perched on the branch of a tree and gazing at him curiously.

Although Will had seen birds before, he had never seen one up close. His mind went on autopilot and, in a sudden burst of excitement, he leapt toward the winged animal. Unfortunately, the bird was scared by this movement and flew away, and more birds followed along with. Will's excitement skyrocketed--that is, until one of the birds ungracefully slammed into Will's face.

The boy shook is head violently and, without being able to see where he was going, slammed his head into the branch. This resulted in a hard slam to the forest floor and a very quick headache. William moaned in pain, the back of his hands glowing brightly.

Sora was having quite a lovely day. This place was full rather interesting looking people who were also quite funny. She was still having a hard time learning about the humans, but this was at least better then her world so far. A lot less fighting and death. It was very relaxing in some ways. Well, more then some ways really. And she even probably saved a little girl here. Off to a great start.

The forest here was quite lovely, full of great and interesting wildlife. There were a few areas like this in her old world, but most of them didn't have a lot of animals, if any at all. However, what they definitely didn't have was that guy. He seemed to be young, as he clearly should not have flown into that flock of birds.

He seemed to have paid for it though, and crashed into a branch then fell. Well, time to help out. She flew over to the boy, landing next to him. This was a simple heal, wouldn't even take that long. And she gets to meet a new person. "That was quite the fall you had there.~"

William opened his eyes. This new voice was unfamiliar and sudden, but somehow, it hadn't startled him. With the throbbing in his head still going strong, Will looked up.

He nearly gasped at the sight.

Another topic he had researched a lot about was angels. And from the sight that lay before him, he was sure that this girl was one. She had everything an angel would have: feathery, white wings and, the most telling feature, a glowing halo floating above her head.

Will figured that this angel was not the same as the ones depicted in religious paintings, for she was clothed the same way a human would be. However, this did stop excitement from pooling into his mind once again--that is, until he realized that she had spoken to him. He thought of a response while still sprawled on the ground.

"Uh... yeah. I guess it was. Sorry if this is a bit sudden, but are you an angel?" He nearly scolded himself for asking such a question with an obvious answer, but curiosity had gotten the better of him.

Sora chuckled at the young lad, as he stood there gasping at her. It was definitely not what she was expecting to happen, but it was quite adorable. He must be new to this place. Cause from what she saw, there was a fair amount of different type of beings here. Well, it was nice too see that he was in a similar position to her then.

As he asked her the question, she would be finished up healing him and his injuries. Yeah, he definitely was new. Or there are just no angels at all here, one of the two. "Why yes, I am an Angel. It's a pleasure too meet you, My name is Sora, at least in your tongue." Well, technically not the whole truth. Her name was any form of sky, but she liked Sora a bit. Plus it was the name of a birdy in marshes. "Pardon if I'm being sudden as well, but are you new here as well?"

An angel. She almost didn't seem real, but then again, William had already seen many things that he didn't believe could exist at the academy.

Suddenly, the marks on his hands glowed very briefly as the pain in his head quickly disappeared. He felt better than he had before the incident, almost as if a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders. With the pain gone, he could sit up without effort, and he did so gratefully.

William almost missed Sora's question as the haze disappeared from his head. "Yes, I'm knew here," he informed her. "My name is William. Got here only a few days ago. I was trying to get a close up view of the birds when, uh..." He gestured to the branch he had hit his head on. "...that happened.

Sora listened to him, giggling as he stumbled through the ending of his sentence. It was quite adorable, honestly. Man, she hoped all of the kids here were like this, she would have a great time. Though, if they were like this, then she'd have to get started on teaching them. Assuming all were like him, of course.

"Well, for starters, you should always be careful around wild animals. They frighten quite easily, assuming they don't turn and attack you. Oh, but I'm lecturing~ So, now that we are here then, what shall we do then?"

William took in this new information gratefully, but it greatly surprised him. He thought he knew a fair amount of common knowledge about animals, but these facts seemed like they should have been obvious to him. They certainly weren't covered in any of the books he read.

Nevertheless, he made a mental note so that he could keep this in mind in the future. It would particularly be helpful against the more dangerous wild animals.

"I don't really know," Will answered. He then thought back to the pain in his head disappearing. "Would I be correct in assuming that you're a healer?"

Sora nodded, criss crossing her legs. "Yes, I am. I was even born a prodigy in my universe. It was quite a life, running on a battle field, dodging super crazy weapons and stuff. They even made a statue for me, it was quite lovely. I was never a fan of war and violence, but saving people was great." Ah, the good old days. Well, relative in good.

"Oh, but you don't want to hear about that kind of stuff. At least I assume not. But, I want to know about this world's culture. Like, why is there so many buildings? Wouldn't it make it easier to be spotted?"

William listened intently to the angel as she spoke. She seemed to have lead quite an interesting life--well, interesting to him, at least. He had no idea what might pass for interesting on this world, or even her world, for that matter. Will found that he did want to about that kind of stuff, but he decided to save it for later.

Will was confused by her last few questions. "Well, I'm afraid I can't tell you much about Earth's culture," he said, "and I really couldn't tell why there are so many buildings. But what do you mean when you say be spotted?"

Well, that was a bit unfortunate. But it did explain on why he charged the birds. It was nice to know she was not the only person learning about this Earth's culture. Was Earth the planet she fought on....? Maybe. He also didn't know about the buildings either. Well shoot. She'll have to ask someone else then.

"Oh, well being spotted meant being attacked. Maybe one or two tall buildings, not counting the main bases that could have 5 buildings or so. We tried to move around hidden from the demons. It was like hide and seek, but with more...murder? I think that's the word."
