Appearance Description:
Aruk has orange dried up skin and is almost completely bald, the only place he has hair is on his fingers and toes. Aruk's face can be compared with an ant. Aruk has four black beady eyes, one upper pair and one lower pair place just a little more inward that the upper pair, and two sets of mandibles where the mouth is. Aruk is about 7" 5', which is nothing really special for his species. On the left side of Aruk's neck is a inch wide whole surrounded by tiny mandibles. This whole is often covered up with a metal cap and is Aruk's real mouth. This mouth lead directly into the stomach and is used for eating while the other mouth on Aruk's face is used for communication. Aruk has seven toes and fingers on each hand and foot. These fingers and toes are a little longer and thicker than human's and are covered in microscopic sticky hairs.
Personality Description:
Aruk is a difficult person to like. He doesn't understand most cultures besides his own and doesn't understand many concepts, a big one being flirting. He takes pride in his people and actually finds humans lesser in many ways. The only people he shows respect too are other Gratillicians or his fellow crew members. There are a few exceptions but there is not enough to be important to mention. He doesn't really care for the species on this planet currently. None have really peaked his interest. He currently refers to almost all species as Earthlings, the only exception of course being if they are from space.
Species Abilities:
High temperature resistance:
Gratillician's orange dried up skin allows them to be capable withstanding any temperature lower than 200 degrees farenheight or higher than -200 degrees farenheight. Once the temperature reaches the two hundreds Aruk will go into a resting state until the temperature reaches a temperature Aruk can withstand.
Hardened Skin:
It may surprise you but a Gratillician's skin is actually an exoskeleton and a tough one. Aruk's skin is strong enough to be hit with a steel blade and only get a small scratch. One could compare a Gratillician's with with iron armor.
Sticky Fingers:
The small microscopic hairs on Aruk's fingers and toes are extremely sticky. This stickiness allows Aruk to attach an climb to almost any surface.
Gratillician Eyes:
Gratillician's are said to be one of the best identifiers in the galaxy. They are trained from a young age to learn the differences of real materials and fake and this is only reinforced as they grow older. Not only can they easily know if something is a fake but they also can figure out what an item is made out of with ease.
Dont Breath:
Gratillician's actually do not need to breathe. So they can survive in airless environments. They do however need to eat, the only thing they actually eat though is a blue gelish like liquid that is only found on their home planet which they gain the nutrients they require to survive. Aruk carries this gel like liquid in tubes and needs to consume one tube full of this gel a week. If Aruk eats anything else it can likely either kill him or get him extremely sick.

Can't swim:
Due to the adaptions to their homeplanet the Graticillian's have not ever needed to swim which makes Aruk incapable of swimming as their adaptions have made it extremely difficult.
Low sound nausea: Graticillian's can't stand low deep sounds. These type of sounds will actually give a Graticillian extrme nausea.
Equpiment:
Plasma Launcher-A high tech pistol that fires bolts of plasma at its enemies. Has no need for ammo but requires a cool down after fired for too long.
Biography:
Aruk was born on Gratillic, the home planet of the Gratillician's. As a larva he was trained in his species specialty, identifying objects. But as he was trained Aruk had shown a knack for violence, something not uncommon for Gratillician's but was odd for a larva this young. So his trainers decided to do the only thing they could. They taught him identifiying objects and when they had time, how to fight hand to hand or with a blaster. Aruk couldn't have been happier. As he grew he showed great promise as a warrior. Much to his trainers surprise however, he wished to use his skills for a pirate crew, a name almost every Gratillician knew. The Queen Aurora II. When he heard word they were looking for knew members Aruk could not wait. He packed all of his things and hurried off to join the Queen Aurora. He was accepted as a member and helped the crew in their jobs. He has been with the crew for a while and was on the Quenn when it crashed on Earth.
