Eventually, Jackal finished eating and they parted ways. Regina's first meeting with Jackal didn't go as well as she'd hoped. But... she wasn't sure what she should have expected. It wasn't like he was going to fall in love with her at first sight.
It went well enough. Right? Regina probably made an OK first impression. It was sad that he mostly ate meat instead of sugary things, but it's the thought that counts. Plus she could call him if Mom came back and started bothering her. This was a bigger deal than he could know.
And she had a way to contact him now. She had her foot in the door. She needed to plan a next move, she decided.
